1. Hi Joel!

   Saw you on Roku on Skywatch TV earlier. Gosh, I just love this channel, it is practically the only thing I watch on Roku. Did you only do one episode or is there a part II?

   Two other items, I knew this was coming, Amazon took down my review of your MB book and I figured it was coming since I did not officially purchase it from them, but it was fun to see that I was the top positive review for as long as it lasted. Hey, you didn’t need my help anyway the last I looked your book is STILL a number #1 release, kudos to you!

   Lastly, your coming to STL next weekend, yay! Donnie Williams and I will be there for sure unless the Enemy pulls a nasty snow storm on us. I’m praying we have good weather to come and greet you. I know you will be there Saturday night which I plan on attending, but do you know what time you will be speaking on Sunday, the 12th? Thanks.

3. Very interesting information about Twitter not meeting with President Trump

   Do you have any information on Trump’s possible similar connections to/interests with the Saudis, as previous administrations did?

   What are your thoughts on Trump’s phone call to the Saudis and the agreement to provide “safe spaces” for 1,000 refugees? What are your thoughts on Trump’s “use of various ‘leverage points’, (such as the possibility of the exposure of that hidden 28 page file on Saudi involvement in 9-11, or the continual determination to get America energy independence).” As someone said elsewhere, “Trump got Saudi King Salmon to sign on to the idea and to pledge financing to it as well”.

Hi Joel, just wondering if you have shared your views, in any of your books, about which beast (kingdom or king) is being referenced in Rev 17:8 – The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction? I would be interested to get your thoughts on what this verse is referring to.

   Interesting. Despite the fact that SkyWatch as a whole seems to be geared toward an alien/watcher, Illuminati type of prophetic worldview, I thought the program hosts did an excellent job with the interview by allowing you plenty of time to explain your thesis. Would love to hear more on the Turkish dream of a revived Ottoman Empire and what the dynamic would be with Saudi Arabia.

Joel this is a little off topic and I may have asked a similar question before but can’t remember but anyway Revelation 6:8 says authority is given them (death and hell) over a fourth part (25%) of the earth to kill by 4 means. An extensive research was done and in January of 2010 they (pew research center) estimated the global muslim poulation was 23.4% they also said if current trends continue it will be 26.4 percent in 2030. I’m guessing muslims don’t quite make up 25% of earth’s population just yet based off this research but will in the near future. Do you think this is what Rev. 6:8 is referring to or just a coincidence, which I do not believe it is a coincidence personally?

8. Thanks Joel, I checked out Chapter 12 in the Mideast Beast to get your thoughts on Rev 17:8. It appears your view is that the 8th Beast is the Revived Islamic Caliphate, a second coming of the Islamic Caliphate (#7). When I examined Rev 17:8 closer it appears that at the time John’s was writing the 8th Beast to come had already existed before and currently wasn’t and would come in the future. The Islamic Caliphate which you identify as #7 had not existed before John’s writing so how can #8 be the Revived Islamic Caliphate? Can you please help me understand? Thanks!

9. The phrase which refers to the beast that “once was” this is not from the perspective of John’s day, but from the perspective of the last days. Note that it says, “Those who live on the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast that was, and is not, and will be present again” (Rev. 17:8).

10. Thanks for the explanation Joel. I agree at the end of Rev 17:8 it is not from the perspective of John’s day, but from the perspective of the last days. However, it appears to me that at the beginning of Rev 17:8 when this beast is first mentioned, that it is from the perspective of John’s day because it says “and is about to rise.” This phrase appears to put it in John’s day relative to John’s timeframe otherwise “about to rise” would not make sense if the beast was yet to come for the first time. Do you have any further thoughts that might help me understand?

11. No. I find that folks get frequently confused by various aspects of this passage. One needs to survey the larger passage. John is “carried away in the spirit” (v.3) into a visionary experience and shown something. The context, as we already discussed in verse 8 (and in several other verses) is clearly defined as the last days. Thus when the angel says the beast is about to rise, it is within the context of the end time vision that John has been carried away to observe. Don’t miss the forest for the trees. I hope this helps.

12. Thanks Joel, I appreciate your thoughts on this. I’m not trying to be difficult so please forgive me if it is comes across that way. With respect to the issue of context, in your book, Mideast Beast, on page 150, you comment on the next two verses (Rev 17:9,10) and it appears you revert back to looking at these verses from the perspective of John’s day and not the last days. You write “At the time John penned the book of Revelation…” and then you go on to explain the verses from the context of John’s day. If John was writing from the perspective of the last days it would have made more sense for him to say “six have fallen and one has not yet come.”
    By the way, I do agree with you that Kingdom #8 is the Revived Islamic Empire. However, I feel that reading the above verses from John’s perspective can help to reveal further biblical clues about the nature of Kingdom #8.

    I said that that in John’s day, the sixth empire was the empire that was. That was Rome. I did not shift to reading the passage differently. Again, we simply cannot get around the actual wording of the angel and the text. Yes, on one hand, the angel describes the seventh and eight beast of the last days, from the perspective of the last days. He states very clearly that it is from the perspective of those who are alive to see the beast revive. You initially agreed with this, but now seem to have changed your mind. This is quite literally the only way the passage makes any sense. There is also a degree to which the english translation is likely throwing you as well. Greek really does not have tense encoded as we do in English. This may have more than you are interested in reading, but it may be helpful:

    Daniel 9:26 and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city & the sanctuary
    Was the people not the romans ? This is the only hang up besides the purple and scarlet colors that I cannot console my mind. Other then this the Islamic seem to fit
    I really need help with this, I have purchased many books and appreciate your help and your heart
    I realize the Bible is the one true book we need to study, but also believe many are here on earth at this time to help others with not as much study and knowledge. Thanks and Prayers

    Do you think Ezekiel 27-28 are talking about end time Babylon? I know it says tyre but there are similarities.
    Both are utterly destroyed.
    There is a detailed shopping list
    Mechants and sea farers are shocked at sudden destruction
    Is “thrown into midst of sea” like the angel in revelation.
    Makes kings rich.
    The ruler of tyre thought himself a god but was killed
    Invaded by “the terrible of the nations”
    Seems to speak of satan and the ruler of this city interchangeably.

    On the hand, why tyre and not Babylon? Is it just a coincidence?

16. I’m reading your book and loving it, Joel. A real eye-opener, as always. One comment you made, had me wondering. You mention at one point that the scriptures were pointing to a place that didn’t yet exist. Do you happen to have any authoritative research that points to when Mecca was founded and the Kaaba (sic?) was first built? I find it hard to trust the “sources” I’ve found.

    I have one giant question mark about the beast.

    It says “the seventh kingdom will remain only a little while and then the 8th king will be of the seventh”.

    The Ottoman Islam Empire lasted for 624 years. Hardly a little time? A long time.

    Joel how do you explain this?

20. Hi Rose,

    When the passage says the “other” king/kingdom, it is zooming in on the final king, ie., the Antichrist. This is consistent with every other reference to the rule of the Antichrist as being very short. Earlier is Revelation 12-13, we are told the Devil has been cast down to the earth, being enraged because he knows his time… is short. The “little while” is also a specific phrase taken directly from Isaiah 26, which references the tribulation period. “Come, my people, enter into your rooms and close your doors behind you; hide for a little while until indignation runs its course.” Finally, just a couple verses after the one you are wrestling with, it says the ten kings will reign with the beast for “one hour,” another reference to the short time that AC will wreak havoc on the earth. So essentially, although most translations can lead to some confusion here, unless we see this verse as zeroing in on the final king, the eighth king, we miss its actual emphasis. I hope this has helped.

    Pray I am not being a pest! Thankful for your teaching and few others today. Very hard to find pastors/teachers who are not just about $$ but have a true heart for the people they teach. For the Lord is telling me to study your teachings right now. A urgency always been very interested in Eschatology but let life get in the way and now feeling time to get it together. Just a question on middle eastern men fighting for Romans in AD 70, would they not still be considered Romans? Part of that mindset because they were fighting for the Catholic Church?
    I read what you wrote in Mystery Babylon and you have a genuine gift of keeping it simple in your writings & sure you have worked hard over the years researching and studying.

    I’m by no means Joel, but he goes into great length about this verse you are asking about and the historical record in his fabulous book, “Mideast Beast” if you are unable to afford a hard copy or e-book from Amazon you could also try your local library. My local library has both “Mideast Beast” and “Islamic Antichrist” but “Mideast Beast” is where your answer will be found.

    Yes, they would have been Roman citizens, but ethnically they were not Italian. Paul was a Roman citizen but was ethnically Jewish, correct? The word in the Hebrew is not citizenship, but ethnicity. It is the word am. It is translated as “people” but has an ethnic denotation. In simpler terms, if someone is American, what does this say about their ethnicity? The same holds for Rome. If we simply accept the words of the Bible for what they say, and also acknowledge history for what actually happened, then we are looking at overwhelming number of Middle Eastern peoples.

24. Something I wonder, Joel, in regard to “once was,” is that I tend to think that Syria will be absorbed into Turkey but will stand as an independent country after ISIS is thrown out. A great leader will be admired for his ability for driving out ISIs and then will assume control of the area where Assyria was once before.
