Joel,
Just ordered – I was hoping to be able to get your Turkey / Caliphate stuff soon after watching you on Pastor Bakker’s show last couple nights! Your name comes up at our church frequently and several of us pray for you regularly. And maybe don’t go back to Turkey anytime soon. The Lord watches over His own, but I also firmly believe, “Thou shall not put the Lord thy God to the test!”
Pastor Orville Erickson
Thank you Pastor, Orville. Deeply appreciated. Blessings
Hi Joel:
Thank you for your excellent research and resources. I have pointed many friends and ministry colleagues to them.
Have you reviewed much or any of Sibel Edmond’s commentary on Gladio B (NATO) and other topics as it relates to Turkey and Islam? It’s exceptional material that she culled from her research and Turkish translation work when working with the FBI and shares it at significant personal risk. It ties into NATO’s use of Islam as the excuse for and causes of the war on terrorism and related terrorist attacks. She also speaks a lot about her research on Turkish President Erdogan and Fethullah Gulen.
Wishing you God’s best,
Dave
Joel, there are a number of people who are advocating the case for an Islamic antichrist and while some of the research and arguments are compelling there is a huge problem that no one seems to want to address. Jesus, spoke about the coming of the one we call the antichrist and HE said, of the Jews, that He (Jesus) they rejected but another would come in His name and he they would accept. If the theory you put forward is correct then the Jewish people including their rabbi’s and scholars are going to accept a Muslim as their promised messiah. How do you square that, knowing that the Jews will compare this man to the scripture and expect a match? Furthermore, how are the Islamists going to accept this guy when he accepts the Jews. I think you have a huge problem here and without a logical and credible explanation as to how “everyone” can theologically accept the same Islamic guy without scriptural conflicts, the theory falls apart. Have you considered this?
Rick,
This claim is quite old, and rejected not merely by me, but by most mainstream prophecy teachers, including those who completely reject the notion of an Islamic Antichrist. The notion that the Jews will accept the Antichrist as if he is their Messiah, quite simply, is entirely unbiblical. The verse you are referencing says absolutely nothing about the Antichrist. You are simply making an assumption and reading something into the text that is not there. Jesus made a simple statement that though they rejected the real Messiah, when false Messiah’s come in their own name, they would accept them. The greatest false Messiah of all time, Ben Kosiba, aka, Bar Kochba led nearly the whole nation astray in the early second century resulting in the final destruction of the nation. Other false Messiahs have come such as Shabatai Zvi. These examples are plenty to ratify the reference. Every significant type of the Antichrist in history has been a gentile foreign ruler. Pharaoh, Nebuchadnezzar, Antiochus Epiphanies, etc.
I hope this has helped.
Blessings,
Joel
Thank you for your response, I do appreciate you taking the time and I understand what you are saying however the text of John 5:43 raises questions as it contrasts Jesus coming in the name of His father to “another” coming in his own name. There are two questions here. First, since it is speaking about a single imposter, and we know there were multiple (Simon Ben Kokhaba being the first and most significant thus far), was Jesus really referring to Ben Kokhaba or was He referring to another that is yet to come? In other words, since Jesus referenced one individual, you would think He would reference the most important imposter and not the second most important imposter. This is a fundamental rule of logic, not a baseless assumption as you suggest. Second, is the question of if Ben Kokhaba came in his own name? In reality, sure, but He claimed to be coming in the name of the Lord. When the man of sin arrives, he will claim to be God and unquestionably come in his own name. So the question is, on both counts, who is a better fit for the description Jesus gave, the man of sin or Simon Ben Kokhaba?
Lastly, apart from the issues above, is your argument that the reason for Armageddon invasion of Israel is that they reject the antichrist? You seem to be suggesting that the Jews are somehow exempt from Rev 13:15-17 even though the Bible is clear that the entire world will be under the control of the antichrist with the exception of the areas of historical edom and moab. What Biblical evidence do you have to support the Jews being exempted from following the man of sin or are you saying the non religious Jews will follow him and accept him in large numbers but not as their messiah (in the Biblical sense) because they are largely secular today?
Thanks,
Rick
Rick,
The rule of Occam’s Razor says that the view with the least number of assumptions is most often the correct view. One cannot build a case off of one isolated text which requires not one, but several assumptions to build a case. The vast majority of prophecy teachers, including those who reject my view also agree with me on this.
Again, Antiochus Epiphanies ala Daniel 8 and 11 is the primary type of the AC in Scripture. This is entirely contrary to any Jewish leader.
The idea of a Jewish Antichrist is rooted solidly in the virulent anti-Semitism and replacement theology of many of the early church writers. Scripturally however, it is impossible to defend.
Blessings
Thanks for your responses and I will certainly give your view on this serious consideration. You are well studied and thoughtful in your approach to these things which is, surprisingly rare but appreciated. I am certainly be watching Islam, as the Islamic nations appear to be the aggressors in at least Psalm 83 and Ez 38. Your case, I believe you view, is at the very least, plausible and is something everyone should be familiar with in case you turn out to be correct. That said, I think you would probably agree that we should keep and open mind regarding the ultimate identity of the antichrist and not marry ourselves to a single view because as you point our yourself, the vast majority of prophecy teachers and experts have been consistently wrong about a much of what has been interpreted. Some examples include, the europe centered 10 kingdom view, the pretrib rapture, once saved always saved, and most significantly the prophecy experts of Jesus’ day completely missing His coming.
Thanks again for clarifying your positions and giving some background as to how and why you came to those conclusions. I think that is very helpful in giving a broader consideration to how these events could play out. Ultimately, someone will confirm the covenant with the many, and later stop the sacrifice and then we will know for sure.
God Bless and keep up the good work in exposing Islam and the destruction it has brought, is bringing, and will continue to bring to the world.
Rick,
If there is one segment of theology that we must remain extremely humble concerning, it is eschatology. This is particularly so with regard to speculative pre-Day of the Day eschatology. So of course, yes, we need to remain open and very cautious. This doesn’t stop us from having theories and such, but wise watchmen do not all gather on one side of the wall. They spread out, some looking east, some west.
Bless you,
Joel
Thanks Joel! I thoroughly enjoy your writings and teachings. Wanted you to know that I am praying for the debate today with Dr. Ice. I am here at the SWRC conference so will get to be there to witness and learn! I trust and pray that the Holy Spirit will give you wisdom and words during the conversation. The points made for the Islamic Antichrist are well researched and thoughtful. I was raised in a church that believed pre-trib and Roman Antichrist. Your teaching have caused me to stop and consider and question everything that is happening in the world according to Biblical prophecy – and I am a better watcher for it!
Joel: My eyes are on Turkey also, per-“Revelation 2:12-13.” However, Tom Horn stated the altar of Satan was removed from Turkey during Hitler’s reign and now resides in Brussels. Also, we must not forget that Turkey controls the downstream water for the Euphrates(1,460 mile-long)River and tributaries by means of the Ataturk Dam, and could use this as a means of control without firing a shot-“Isaiah 11:15-16.” In conclusion, I would like to point out a Bible Scripture “Sirach/Ecclesiasticus 10:1-5” pertaining to the 2016-Presidential Election. ‘Rulers’-“A wise ruler will educate his people and his government will be orderly. All the officials and all the citizens will be like their ruler. An uneducated king will ruin his people, but a government will grow strong if its rulers are wise. The LORD sees to the government of the world and brings the Right Person to power at the Right Time. The success of that Person is in the LORD’s hands. The LORD is the source of the honor given to any official.” God Bless, B.Polus
God bless you
And I love the way you always try to be clear and easy to understand.

Why don’t you make your videos available as purchase via download. I am in the Middle East and I cannot get these DVDs shipped to these regions without being prosecuted by the government. Shouldn’t you focus on making your videos more accessible to people under regimes that control people’s freedom. Electronic download is much safer for us in this region than a physical DVD. Please help.
HI Christian,
I’m planning on it. I can only do it with videos that I own the fun rights to however. Some videos are co-owned with my publisher. This is why I am doing the Underground of course. I’m trying to make most of my work free. Right now, I do not have a staff and things move slowly.
Thank you sir, for the eye-opening, rebela tional teaching on eschatology. It has str aightened me up in many areas of escha tological assumptions. More grace.
Hey Joel,
Was wondering if had any thoughts regarding if/why ISIS inspired terrorists are attacking Turkey?
Also, on one of your recent podcasts you mentioned an actively engaged evangelical Middle Eastern church where you had preached, and I was wanting to make a donation, but not sure of the name? Would there be a website/link to give?
Thanks so much for your ministry!

Joel,
I had the pleasure of meeting you last weekend in Miami and I look forward to seeing you again when you speak at our church next year. I just finished this fascinating DVD series taking copious notes! I follow your work closely and am truly inspired to study like never before with my Bible open and a close eye on current events in the middle east. I very much appreciate your humble ministry. Thank you and God bless you!
Tonya
Hi Tonya. Yeah it was great to meet you as well. I had a great time and look forward to coming back. (And Randy was a hoot too! What a fun guy.)
Bless you!
Joel, The Camlica Mosque in Istanbul is almost completed. This will be Erdogan’s Nuremberg…
I’m wondering if you considered putting this Video on Vimeo, so that it could be purchased & viewed “online” – as you did with “Covenant & Controversy” (both of which I purchased on Vimeo) without having to get the DVD & worry about scratching, breaking, or losing it?
I was almost finished God’s War on Terror when I thought I should see what you had written in your book “MIDDLEAST BEAST”, which are both so enlightening! Thank you so much.
May the Lord continue to hold you in the palm of His hand!
Hi Andrew,
The rights to this belong to Southwest Radio Ministries. we are working on getting it on Vimeo as well. For now, I purchased a bunch of these DVDs to try to get it into folks hands, but again I do not own the rights. In the near future, I will be revamping nearly everything to make everything that I can available online.
Blessings!
The old center of Istanbul looked down from the tops of seven hills, just like ancient Rome. In fact, it became the Nova Roma (New Rome) of Constantine the Great, who made it the last capital of the Roman Empire in May 330. Afterward it was called Constantinople, the city of Constantine. Its conquest by the Ottoman Turks in May 1453 marked the final end of the Roman Empire after nearly 1,500 years. Shortly after this conquest, Sultan Mehmed II made the city his capital and named it Islambol (where Islam abounds) – – a play on its Greek nickname Stamboul. From that time until the 1920’s it was under the iron rule of Ottoman caliphs, also called sultans. The Ottoman Empire covered much of the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Following its defeat in World War I, the empire was dismembered and the role of sultan was abolished. Today, many Muslims desire to see the caliphate re-established in preparation for the coming of the Mahdi, a world dictator foretold in Muslim texts. Many observers believe President Erdoğan has plans to restore the caliphate and perhaps even fill it himself. Intercede for God’s will and timing in this matter.

Thirty Turkic languages are spoken across a vast area from Western China and Siberia to Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean and the Middle East. More than 170 million people speak one of these languages as a mother tongue. At present, there are six independent Turkic countries: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. There are at least nine Turkic subdivisions in the Russian Federation, each with its own flag, parliament, and regional language. China has an autonomous region of Uyghur Turks, Moldova has an eastern district of Gagauz Turks, and Ukraine has two autonomous Turkic regions. Turkic communities also exist in Afghanistan, Bulgaria, the Republic of Georgia, Macedonia, Tajikistan, and Western Mongolia. Northern Cyprus has a sizeable population of western Turks.
I worked in Pakistan for a number of years and loved the people, but knew that if Islam ever wanted to take over the world it would be difficult to stop them because they believed they would go straight to Paradise if died in the line of duty. I want to thank you for your dedication to present the truth. Your research abilities are outstanding. I am trying to spread the word about your work the best way I know how. However, I find many Americans just plain don’t want to know the truth about the end times. It is like if they don’t know about it, it won’t happen. Or some think they know how it is going to end, so they aren’t open to read another possibility. I stand behind you Joel and will pray that more and more people will become interested in your work. Knowing the truth spurs me on to be ready in my own walk with Christ and a courage to share the plan of Salvation with those around me. Blessings on you my dear brother in Christ. BK
