When Turkey took torture to the streets

The following production by Amnesty International is a good overview of the response of the emerging dictatorship in Turkey to the protests that began there this summer. Some of the footage captures the evening my team and I were caught in the police attack on the protestors. I am looking forward to sharing more of our video footage of the event in my forthcoming documentary: Revolution: Israel, Islam and the Gospel at the End of the Age. You can read more about Amnesty International’s report here.

I also found this rather grainy video from RT News that captures the moment that the police launched into the crowd on the evening we were there. Within the first couple seconds, I can be seen running from in front of the structure to the right wearing a bright yellow button down t-shirt. Sorry, I know that no one else cares much about my “Where’s Waldo” moment, but I’m having fun watching and finding myself in these news clips. Even these few months later, being part of that moment of Turkish history is still a very special memory for me and those I was with.

  1. Too many sleep because they do not want to have their comfort zone violated.

As long as the numbers are what they are, when it comes to sticking up for those who are oppressed in lands where Muslims outnumber Christians – victory will be gained in spite of our numbers.

For the third Psalm is still true.

  2. Sorry Dean, You are well aware that I do not allow your anti-Semitic propaganda to be posted here. This is a hatred free zone. You will have to go elsewhere.
