Love the trailer! Very powerful. Looking forward to the read. I am trying to decide which of your works is best to introduce to my many friends and family members who are agnostic, skeptical, disinterested. I’ve tried using the Islamic Antichrist, but am dumbfounded in their refusal to engage. Maybe this will be the one. Thanks for your dedication, and I am so grateful to God for your vision.
Joel,
I want to thank you for the entertaining way your Underground programs present the Gospel. I’m so impressed with the depth of your research on the subjects you cover. In truth, the sheer number of the books you mention in this weeks program is a little overwhelming to a novice like myself.
Unfortunately, constraints in my free time have prevented me from reading your new book. So I am extra grateful that you delved a little deeper this week, into some of the topics you address in your book.
My question is about Revelation 18:4
” Come out of her My people….”
Who are these people the Lord will call out of Mecca?
Like you I feel that it is so important that we as Christians get this right and the answers we need are far from academic in their implications.
Again. Thanks for your efforts and God bless you and your family mightily, in Jesus Name.
The population of Saudi Arabia is 27+ million. About 9 million are foreign workers. The nation lives upon the slave labor of foreign nationals, a large percentage of who are from nations with a very high Christian population such as the Philippines. Etc. The call is a direct call to get out before the judgment falls. Its similar to Jesus’s warning to flee Judea, only to those who will hear His warning, and who are actually living in Judea.
Is there a way for me to get just the Babylon Connection? I have your other two books
For just the Babylon Connection?, the quickest and easiest way is to just order it through Amazon.
Keep up the brilliant work Joel of presenting what God has declared in His Word, it is vital for all of us to hear what God declares in the Scripture. Thank you Joel for repeating the words of God. If God has declared that Babylon is a City and He clearly describes her attributes and her filth, then we must repeat also the same, we are commanded to not add and to not take away from what He has said. We all need to renew our minds to His Word for His Word is Truth. Good work Joel, I am enjoying your Book and am looking forward to your next Underground on this subject. Are you planning to do a series on the Mystery Babylon?
Also do you know what Town you are coming to North of Brisbane in Australia later in the year?
Hi Joel,
Great synopsis of the various Babylon theories. I read Hislop’s Two Babylons years ago and was highly influenced by it for many years. I never believed that the Roman Catholic church was the ultimate manifestation of Mystery Babylon but I have held the opinion that the Nimrod “mystery religion” would be revived in a rebuilt Babylon in Iraq. Anyway, I just finished your new book tonight and have to say I was thoroughly impressed by your approach and the way you deconstructed the various interpretations in order to build a pro-Mecca argument. It has certainly given me great food for thought and has reinforced many points I learned in a book called Hatred’s Kingdom by Dore Gold. Mecca truly is the spiritual heart of the Muslim world and Saudi Arabia the financier of global Islam. It will be interesting to see what transpires from that region in the coming years. Thanks for another excellent book and one that builds upon the solid foundation of your previous works. The information you dispense is vital to the time in which we live.
Hi David,
I think after reconsidering all of the time needed to try el, I will likely only be visiting Perth this year.
In the last days knowledge shall increase…. The knowledge of the last days. Its all fitting to together like a puzzle. The Holy Spirit is bringing revelation knowledge to his humble truth seeking servants. You are a blessing Joel, keep up the good work finish the course keep the faith!
So who are the others that hold to this view,Joel? I have just finished reading Rodrigo Silva’s book and know he holds this view as well. I know that I have never been satisfied with the answers with Rome, New York, or the Jerusalem conclusions and ended up taking what you call your “silver” position. I know when coming across a video about ten years ago online that it to suggested Mecca that made very convincing connections to Scripture.
Joel, I finished your book last evening. I read it from the beginning, without skipping to the end, because I wanted to educate myself on the other views, pro and con. The book is one that I will certainly go back to again for reference. You summed up your arguments nicely at the end, very helful. Honestly, I can’t imagine any other view being as supported more completely by Scripture than Mecca/Saudi Arabia at this point in time. We shall see. But all the pieces of this puzzle, from Scripture, seem to fit your view. I believe you have done the Church a great service.
I was surprised to learn about the myth of Nimrod, because there are so many who teach exactly what you and others have argued against. For some the result is that they don’t celebrate Easter or Christmas, among other things.
What I found particularly helpful was the documentation of Saudi excesses and financing of spreading Islam and terrorist groups, compared to the references in Revelation of the harlot and the beast. This gives much clarity to these passages.
Do you think Joel 3:3 might be a reference to the sex trafficking of the Saudis? I remember the first time I heard of this in the Middle East. I was on a work trip to Tunis, Tunisia several years ago, and some of my colleagues talked about “white slavery” in that country and the Middle East. The stories of children disappearing and being whisked out of the country is frightening. I cannot imagine the agony of parents who suspect this is what happened to their children, and that the Saudis get a complete pass for this wickedness.
“and have cast lots for my people, and have traded a boy for a prostitute, and have sold a girl for wine and have drunk it.” Joel 3:3
Jeanne,
Ironically some who buy into Hislop’s logic, whether they read his actual book or not, end up leaving and becoming quite adversarial to any form of traditional evangelicalism. Ironically, they cite a need to reject “the traditions of man.” The fact however, is that they have bought into a false tradition of man that is not substantiated by history or even common sense. Jim Staley’s very popular DVD “Truth or Tradition” has really convinced a lot of folks, but like Hislop’s book is largely based on false claims. He makes all kinds of points about steeples being pagan, or circular floor tiles being tied back to sun-worship and this sort of thing.
Hi Joel, Got your book and tremendously enjoying it! Question: are there some recommended books/resources out there that you know of that explores the Arabization of nations and how that changes culture (the “crushing”). I have been looking around a bit, but I would figure I would ask. Of course, the news shows us examples of ISIS doing this all the time…
I recommend simps reading The Conquest of Syria by Imam al-Wakidi.
I’m afraid I’ve been somewhat toss to and fro by the Hislop teaching. Isn’t it true the winter solstice and spring equinox were traditionally pavan festivals?
Yes, various pagans celebrated on these days, but every day belongs to the Lord. Sometimes people are so fearful of anything with any connection to paganism that they almost act as if Satan is more powerful than the Lord.
“Yes, various pagans celebrated on these days, but every day belongs to the Lord. Sometimes people are so fearful of anything with any connection to paganism that they almost act as if Satan is more powerful than the Lord.”
Well said, Joel. I wonder if this is just another “distraction” that Satan uses to divide the saints.
Hi Joel, look forward to reading your new book soon. Forgive me if you have already answered this question in one of your books, but do you have any thoughts on when “Mystery Babylon” is destroyed by the Antichrist and the 10 Kings, as per Rev 17:16? Is it before, at the beginning, in the middle or at the end of the Great Tribulation or some other timeframe I have not considered? Thanks for your help!
true…but the high places in Israel belong to the Lord too…Not to say I’m a follower of Hislop or Staley but they do raise some reasonable points. Arriving at the truth seems a bit turbulent at times. I trust the Lord will remember we are dust.
The danger is not the high place itself, but what one does there.
I do not discuss the timing much at all.
Joel,
Finished your new book. It is a good read which you portray many valid points. Definitely lets the reader decide for him/herself. I would like to mention some negatives. Just me in particular, the part about slaves on a port…you suggest slaves or souls could be immigrants working there. My issue with that is, it seems like a stretch from the interpretation of when it says slavery. I cannot remember but do we have the Greek Word so we can look at a possible translation of what the exact word would be if it was slaves, slavery, bondage, chattel slavery, or just common work. Secondly, Babylon was the Babylon of its day and also capital. Nineveh was the Babylon of the Assyrians. Both were capitals. Since Mecca is not a capital, does that not pose a problem?
Lastly, I don’t remember if it was addressed, does mystery Babylon have to be in the part of a lion, foot of a bear, or the body of …… basically, can it be outside the testified revised empire or does it need to dwell inside. I know your position as Mecca but have you thought of this? I could go further but running outta room?
Joel, do you have any thoughts on some claims out there that the elite in the Catholic Church invented Islam as a means to destroy the Jews so the Catholic Church can control Jerusalem. Is there any truth to these claims?
The devil has brought in much confusion and division over the time and sanctity of the birth and of the resurrection of the Lord. I used to throw out the baby with the bath water, but the Lord has shown me to hold fast to what is good and honoring to Him, and to put away that which isn’t. God bless you.
Thanks Howard.
For those who read it, Howard is a solid Messianic Jew, living in Israel for decades whose opinion I really appreciate.
Joe,
It’s utter nonsense. My opinion.
Hi Adam,
In many translations the words slave or slaves are used of indentured servants. Slavery comes in many forms. One need not demand a rigid or hyper-literal modern western understanding.
Nothing in the text says that the city must be a capital city.
Nothing in the text says anything about being within the body of the beast. Quite to the contrary, it shows that the beast turns on and devours the woman, suggesting she is likely apart from the beast empire.
Blessings
Thanks to Howard for sharing…interesting piece. Haven’t heard many advocate for an actual Dec incarnation.
Hello Joel,
May I ask a question.
Rev 14:8 speaks of a Great City called Babylon, her falling from stature is that she commits fornication with other Nations. The Falling word is the same Greek word that Jesus used in Luke 12 regarding him seeing the fall of Satan from Heaven.Babylon is a great City before this falling, She is also tied in with the Beast and His Image. The Beast only has authority and power for 3 1/2 years. Would you agree that the Falling of the Great City Babylon begins roughly at the time of the Abomination of Desolation?
Why do the end times prophecies typically refer to archaic fighting elements such as shields, bucklers, and horses. I understand that the prophets would not have had words for tanks, trucks or guns, but it seems like there would have been language indicating something a bit more modern. The Revelation and the Book of Daniel uses words like :like, the appearance of, etc… Ezekiel talks about cleaning up the weapons and they are describing bows and arrows, clubs and spears.
I am not a doubter, I just have always been confused about this.
I read your book mideast beast years ago, it’s absolutely fantastic and well organized. And actually interesting, total page-turner. The best book I’ve ever read on the topic would be Jack Smith’s the cloak of antichrist. Also Perry Stone has a great book unleashing the beast. But Jack Smith’s is the best followed closely (very closely) by yours.
Where I find all you authors disagree mainly is your interpretations of the 10 toes of daniel and the iron and the clay. the most convincing evidence I’ve read from all of you authors was that the clay is the western worlds democracy and the iron is Islam and their ideals. I’ve heard a bunch of ideas what the iron and clay mixing together is although I think that’s the one I am most drawn too. It makes the most sense to me.
P.S. love your work keep it up
Oh, one more thing..
I’ve never heard any of you authors mention ‘the days of Noah’ prophecy from Christ tying it to Islam so I just wanted to voice my opinion on what I believe I learned.
The days of Noah are all mentioned in Genesis chapter 10. Christ used the word ‘days’ not ‘times’ or any thing of the sort. My point is the very last verse of the days of Noah “..and these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood”. than the very next verse in Genesis 11:1 we can see a completely new idea stating “the whole earth was of one language and one speech”.
This is interesting because Islam wants the world one language one race one religion, etc. And this is actually mentioned in Revelation 17:13 “and these have one mind” when referring to the 10 antichrist nations.

Hi Joel,
Here is a brief article that I wrote, and referenced another, to try to get believers to consider the truth of the traditional date of Christmas: http://streamsinthenegev.com/school-of-fish/holy-daysappointed-times/birth-of-lord-jesuschristmas/its-christmas-time-again/
