Hi Joel,
I have to say I didn’t know us Brits gave you the word for your Turkey!
Seriously though, I can understand how my American brothers and sisters found it so difficult which way to vote (or not vote at all) during the recent elections.
After hearing about all the corruption of the Clintons, I can see why many voted for Trump.
We need to pray for your government now that Trump has sound council, and I am heartened to hear that Mike Pence is a believer!
We have had a huge backlash in the Uk with Brexit, so I guess you guys will have some rocky roads ahead too, with all the protests (we have had those in the Uk after Brexit too!)
I agree with rabbi Johnathan Cahn, and I’m sure you would that to: “Make America great again” does not mean in her economy and monetary prosperity per se, but that she comes back to God! (same for the Uk!)
I believe Eric Metaxas’ new book: “If you can keep it” The forgotten promise of American liberty would be essential reading in this regard! I hope to read it soon…your founding fathers I believe had such a Godly foundation…which America has gone away from.
Thank you for highlighting your huge concerns with General Flynn, I think the British press view him as “unstable” shall we say…
May both our Nations in “that Day” be those that have stood with Israel (certainly not Turkey!)
Matt ch25 v32 “…before Him will be gathered all the
Nations, and He will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats….v40 and the King will answer them: ‘Truly I say to you, as you did it to one the least of these my brethren (Jewish people) you did it to me..”
May our Nations be those that “feed” “clothe” “visit” our Jewish brethren in their great hour of need…
May the end-time Church as Reggie Kelly says, be those that meet them (Jewish people) in the Wilderness of their flight, and “provoke them to jealousy” for their need of Yeshua!
Happy Thanksgiving Joel!

I do not believe Erdogan is the AC. I think he fails to meet some important criteria. Please do not allow my discussion of him to infer such.
Joel,
Thank you for the video. I did not know most of the information you shared about General Flynn. I have been so blessed through your writings and teachings over the years.
There may not be an easy answer to this question in this format, but how do you fight against a fatalistic mindset when it comes to these things? You have a great understanding of the scriptures and how they apply to current and future events. Knowing that God has laid out how things will go down as we enter the end times, do you ever find yourself thinking, “What’s the use in combating it? These events are coming like a freight train.”
I greatly appreciate the insights and it has helped me to be a wise observer of world events and to help others understand current events and what we should see happening in the future. This understanding has also somewhat left me with the feeling that the best I can do is simply to point it out, use it as an opportunity to share the gospel with folks, and help believers prepare for what lies ahead.
I guess I find myself thinking, “Let’s just hurry up and get it over with, bring as many folks along in the process, and enjoy Christ ruling and reigning.” What is your motivation (I would like to tap into it in my own life) for calling for General Flynn’s firing, fighting against the rise of AC, and slowing down the process? I wrestle with the feeling I’m warring against God’s declared plan of how this will all take place.
My heart and tone is not accusatory. If I’m supposed to be fighting this, I want to be in the fight. I’m just interested in your reasoning/motivation for pushing back against it? When I learn about a situation like General Flynn for instance, I say to myself, “Of course, that makes sense. There would probably need to be a voice in the President’s ear in favor of Turkey in order for the events in the Middle East to continue to progress the way the Bible says they will.”
In essence – what do you draw upon that motivates you to fight it?
Thanks in advance! If you don’t have the time to respond in this format, I understand. I appreciate your ministry no less than if you had the time to share something.
Blessings.
Andrew,
I have to say I sometimes find myself in the same position you have stated! Sometimes I wonder whether I should continue fighting or just sit and wait. I catch myself doing what the disciples did in Acts 1:9-11, staring up into the sky. But then I remember the words of the angel: “He is coming back.” What is not written there is the implication: “You need to go and do what He asked you to do and not stand around waiting!” Therefore, I remember that Scripture asks us to do justice, warn others of His return, take care of the vulnerable in society, be involved in truth telling (Joel Richardson!)and be about the business of the Kingdom. That would definitely include seeking a just government. In fact, my hope is that Jesus catches me in the act of doing these things when He returns (if I am still alive!). His sovereignty insures that I won’t be “getting in the way” of His plan. Fortunately, if I am doing all these things I am guaranteed to be working FOR Him and not against Him, regardless of whether some of those things SEEM to be counter to the plot we understand when we speak of the end times.
Anyway, I am not answering for Joel, I am just sounding off because I struggle with some of the same things you do. And I am tired and ready for Messiah’s return!
Shalom!
Steve Vance
Andrew,
The answer is simple. The Bible prophecies many bad things are going to happen, yes, but many many very good things as well. In no way, is the story all bleak. The Scriptures teach that there will be revivals in the last days (cf. Isaiah 19, 60). There will be those who shine in righteousness and lead many others to righteousness (Daniel 11,12). In this age, the good that does happen, and the bad that is prevented, is directly affected by our actions. Yours and mine, as we partner with the Lord in faithfulness to our mandate to pray, do acts of justice, and proclaim the Gospel. The parable of the lazy servant is a stark reminder that fatalism and passivity is seen as laziness, and is met with judgment, not reward. Fix your eyes on the age to come, meditate on the coming Kingdom and in word and deed, begin proclaiming its nature, its characteristics now. When the world melts down around us, we have good cheer. Something better is coming. Until then, we will continue to point the lost to this coming kingdom, to declare its justice and righteousness and to invite everyone to the coming feast.
Blessings,
Joel
Thank you for bringing the news behind the news about what is going on in Turkey. I have learned much from your research and insight of prophecy as it relates to the coming Islamic caliphate in the Middle East. I just got your book The Islamic Antichrist and am really soaking in the connections you make between biblical eschatology and Islamic apocalyptic literature from The Hadith. It really makes sense in light of current events around the world.
I do have a controversial question for you concerning the identity of Babylon The Great in Revelation 17 and 18. This question is in light of America’s support and (perhaps) continued and even stronger support of Erdogan through the Trump administration. Through my own study, prayer, and research I have come to the sad conclusion that Babylon the Great is New York City or some conglomerate of American cities or perhaps even America as a whole. The prostitute of Revelation 17 rides or controls the scarlet colored beast from Revelation 13. The beast hates the harlot and eventually turns on her and completely destroys her. America’s military interference and control (and mismanagement) of the affairs in the Middle East has led to the rise of Al Quada and ISIS and tens of thousands of christian martyrs. Revelation 18:24 says “And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.” Who knows what the Trump administration is going to do. I personally feel like our future foreign policies in the Middle East will lead to even more Christian and Jewish martyrs by supporting Turkey, as your episode just highlighted this possiblity with General Flynn.
So my question: You teach and I agree that Turkey will be the revived Ottoman Empire Beast system of Revelation 13 that will be an Islamic Caliphate. However we know that Great Babylon rules over this beast in the beginning. So, who or what do you believe is the Great Babylon?
Thank you,
Robert
Is there any petition or some other way to get Trump to fire Gen. Flynn?
I do not personally believe that the US or New York City is the Harlot Babylon. The Harlot is above everything else a religious system, not merely idolatry in a general sense, such as consumerism etc. She represents a specific religion, a specific form of religious idolatry. America simply does not fit this description. She is also repeatedly described as the primary entity behind the shed blood of the saints globally. America is many things, but she is by no means the primary entity responsible for the shed blood of believers globally. Quite to the contrary. My forthcoming book addresses these matters quite extensively.
Blessings,
Joel
In case you haven’t seen it yet, 60 Minutes just today did a story on Erdogan with the same lobbyist angle disguised as truth. The lobby must be pushing hard lately.
I’m looking forward to your book Joel.
I subscribe to a something called Israel 365, a daily update which appears to be an advocate for the rebuilding of God’s temple in Jerusalem.
I have a question for you Joel.
One of the articles today seemed to say that the seed of Abraham which God says will bless all the earth is fulfilled in the state of Israel.
I know you focus mostly on Islam and the end times and I find it very interesting that Jesus told John to send the book of the Revelation to the seven churches in Asia (Turkey) and not Rome or any of a dozen other places he had churches by that time.
Without giving away too much of your forth coming book, would you say that Islam fulfills both aspects of the Beast/Harlot partnership ?
Walid Shoebat seemed to say that it does in his most interesting video series some years back.
Even though these two questions may seem unrelated I guess what I’m really asking is ; is Islam the sole mover in your view or is there some synergy with other religions, such as a pan-monotheistic yet anti-Christ alliance, which may include apostate Christianity i.e. those denying Jesus as we believe him to be ,God incarnate ?
Thanks for your response if you have time but I also realize you’re a busy man
Thanks Joel’s for another great episode!
God kept bringing me to 1 Samuel 8 and then to Hosea 8, I believed that Trump would win.
God Bless you.
The woman and the beast begin as rider and stead, partners. That one turns on the other is highly ironic, shocking even.
Joel,
I would be interested for you to spell out the characteristics of the Antichrist that Erdogan does NOT meet.
Briefly, the AC begins as a small or little horn (Dan. 7,8), with a people of little significance (Dan. 11). He emerges out of one of four geopolitic divisions (Dan 8). He conquers and seduces initially through peace and / a false peace (Daniel 8, 11). He begins with enough political capital to gain the trust of Israel (Isaiah 28). Erdogan is closer to the character of the AC at the end of his career than at the beginning.
Joel Richardson,
Thank you for all the time that you have put in making videos and writing books and articles and researching the Word of Yahweh. You have certainly been given wisdom. In regards to the “Trump and Turkey” video I am asking you to please forward this video to Mike Pence and write him a letter or email regarding this situation. It’s worth a try. Take care.
Turkey is certainly no friend of the U.S., nor of Israel, and would only create a conflict of interest between U.S. international relationships.
In Hebrew, the word for a turkey is ‘hodu’, which just happens to also be the name of the country, India! ‘Hodu’ is also the plural command to ‘give thanks’. So this Thanksgiving, there is much ‘hodu’ to ‘hodu’ the Lord for!
I think Adam’s suggestion to forward your video to Mike Pence is a good one. I am praying that he will be a Daniel to Trump, whom I see as a Jehu sort. The Islamic way of infiltrating into all the arteries of a government and society sounds like what Christian ‘Kingdom Now’ voices want to do to supposedly rule the world for Christ without Jesus Himself having to come back any time soon.
God bless you, Joel, and enjoy the holiday with your family and friends.
Would be interested in knowing when the estimated release date for your book? I have some parties that I know would be interested in it as well. One of my classmates online follows Irving Baxter. I got into an indepth exchange with regard to prophecy with them about Revelations.
I’ll have them by mid-January.
Hi Joel,
The sinister rise of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan continues. Below is a good article by Mustafa Akyol entitled:
Joel, I wish I could share your optimism regarding what is good for the American people. The elite are not going to let Trump make any significant changes in foreign policy and NATO aspirations, and even if he were to try, He will be taken out. Flynn’s role as well as Pence’s own admission during the VP debate of our need for boots on the ground in Syria tells us Trump is likely to continue the course we are on which certainly means WW3. America and the EU’s own Arab spring was having good success in creating chaos until Russia got involved. We are already at war with Russia practically speaking.
Now, the UN and EU are talking about taking on Russia for an infowar. RT is having a huge negative effect on their public support (See the protest today in Italy). Russia has promised to retaliate if such a war against RT is initiated.
In your response to Larry Dean concerning characteristics of the Antichrist & Erdogan you make this comment:
Joel: “…He (Antichrist)begins with enough political capital to gain the trust of Israel (Isaiah 28).”
I am not sure I see that implication in Isaiah 28 concerning the Antichrist’s political capital, etc. Are you referring to Isaiah 28:15,18 and the “Covenant with death”?
God bless you, brother! Jay
With the success of Brexit and Trump and to a somewhat lesser degree recent events in Turkey, The lack of wisdom in believing certain things can never happen is brought home.
The truth is in this world ANYTHING can happen. Not letting things creep up on us is wisdom we would do well to cultivate.
I looked at the link Jay provided and it occurs to me , that the parliamentary system is a hold over from the days of monarchy with presidents now fulfilling the figurehead role for many nations.
I think that in the 21st century, usurpers will continue to consolidate their power by first occupying and then gradually expanding the powers of the office of president.
Thinking any nation is immune to this avenue to dictatorship would be a mistake we cannot afford to make.
This is just an observation. You can take it for what it is worth.
Hey Jay,
Isaiah 28 concerns the covenant with death, yes. Israel will enter into a covenant with death with the AC. Several times in Isaiah do we find warnings not to trust in such covenants. Trust in the Lord is Isaiah’s cry. The Isaiah 28 covenant was a security alliance that would be a prototype of the last days covenant with the AC. Isaiah 10:20 actually tells us that in the age of the Messiah, “will never again rely on the one who struck them, but will truly rely on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel.” This indicates to me that they will come to rely upon the AC. Hosea 14:3 speaks of this historical/eschatological dynamic as we’ll. They will trust him in his deceptive security promises at the onset. I hope this helps explain where I am coming from.
Bless ya!
She’s spot on.
Hi Joel,
It is very comforting to know that Mike Pence is a born again Christian and a strong supporter of Israel. That is certainly a bright spot! It is also interesting(time will tell if it is positive) that Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner is not only Jewish but has a desire to get involved in the Mid-East peace process.
One real concern is that President Elect Trump has a large business investment in Turkey – two Trump Towers in Istanbul. We will eventually see if this potential conflict of interest will affect his future dealings with Erdogan. We can hope and pray it will not.
In case anyone is interested here’s a link to a Jim Bakker page with some news about Erdogan’s consolidation of presidential power through a constitutional change in Turkey.
