As we have now reached the point within evangelicalism where conforming to the spirit of the age is far more important than conforming ourselves to the image of Christ, it is not surprising that young evangelicals are embracing the growing trend toward anti-Zionism. I plan on focusing on this issue much more in the days to come.
A mere decade ago, Christian Zionism was seen as an emerging force in American politics. As if out of nowhere, a block of fifty to one hundred million friends of Israel were poised to enter the national debate and safeguard the U.S.-Israel relationship for generations to come. Evangelical love for Israel appeared so solid that the only debate within the Jewish community was whether or not to “accept” it.
Read the very important article by David Brog at the Middle East Quarterly.

I believe we are witnessing the early stages of the falling away. Eventually the great deception will come, and those not totally connected to the Father, those without oil for their lamps, will be swayed to reject the divinity of Christ. That is the end result of anti-Biblical thinking.
We are watching the gradual move of the USA from sheep to goat nation. Jesus warned us about all of this in Matthew 24 and 25. It is not something we can stop. However it is something we can impact within the scope of influence the Lord allows each of us.
It is time to be about the Master’s business.
There are no words for how sickening this is.
Joel,
I’m looking forward to more discussion concerning this issue as I have been praying for a coworker of mine who claims to be antizionist but not antisemitic. He definitely has a spiritual block to the gospel and hatred for jews. He believes that the jews are behind every evil in the world. including 911, Boston marathon, sandy hook, etc. He is deep into conspiracy theories. I invited him to read through the book you previously suggested and he refused yet he tells me that after watching a pilot show from 3/2001 that had similarities to 911 my whole world view would be shattered. He knows my Rock is Jesus so I dont know why he would think that..funny. I have come to find out that he was previously catholic and converted to islam inorder to marry. I would really like your insight on how to address the heart of this man/muslims and our brothers who are against the zionism .
Immediately the falling away and Matthew 25, the Lord’s judgement, come to mind when reading this. I’m astonished at this news.
Hi Brandon,
Here is a webpage that I highly suggest you share with you Zionist conspirator co-worker. http://www.freedomforceinternational.org/freedomcontent.cfm?fuseaction=protocols&refpage=issues
The belief that only Jewish people are in control of the world and are trying to make it into a World Government is a pitfall that preys on hatred. He has to realize that when you start getting into conspiracy theories the lines between fact and fiction become blurry. Case in point; Obama is a poor president = Obama is the Anti-Christ.
The are many evil men that are working to bring about a One World Government, but they are not just Jewish.
As long as alliances shift, don’t be surprised to see more Orthodox Christians seeing, in a positive light, at what Father Gabriel Nadaf is doing.
Nelson’s comments are spot on!
I think, as well, that what appears to be missing, in the younger evangelical’s “compassionate” rush to champion the poor in Palestine, is any significant emphasis about the deadly enemies of truth determined to conquer the holy land. Islam, spewing out hatred upon hatred. Islam, with its ruthless totalitarianism, brutal sharia laws, oppression of women, and glorification of murder and death.
In the name of their god (their prophet titled him “The Greatest of All Deceivers”),over 1400 years, 270 million Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, and others have been slaughtered, to say nothing of the countless souls enslaved under the Ottoman Empire economy. Today’s Palestinian Christians have felt Islam’s persistent persecutions.
Though Palestinian Christians do not embrace Islam, the ruling voices about them glorify their animus toward both Jew and Christian. While every nation has its injustices, and oppressions (Israel isn’t exempt from transgression), it is grievous when Christians ignore God’s promises for the holy land.
Leftist speechifiers who maximize Israel’s sins are criminally negligent if they minimize the real totalitarian fanaticism that is obsessed with conquest of the Jews, and threatening all the world.
All of us who love Israel because of our Biblical faith must stay informed. This news is awful, depressing, demoralizing and wrenching. It calls for great, prayerful alertness on the part of those of us who know we have a duty to watch and pray – awaiting that day when Jerusalem is finally made an established praise in the earth. We need to be in prayer for those like Father Naadof, Naim and Stephen Koury and those whom they influence. These are Arab believers who know and believe their Bibles and what it says about Israel. They speak out despite the threats to their own lives. May God bless them, and may their numbers grow. May the numbers of Jewish believers in and out of the land grow and prosper. Thanks be to the God of Israel. Thy Kingdom come.
