The jihadists of the Islamic State of Iraq and al Sham (ISIS) continue to consolidate their grip on Sunni Iraq. They control most major cities, they took over the border crossings with Jordan this week, and now they’re re-opening banks and government offices and establishing political control.
Welcome to the new Middle East caliphate, a state whose leader is considered the religious and political successor to the prophet Mohammed and is thus sovereign over all Muslims. The last time a caliphate was based in Baghdad was 1258, the year it was conquered by the ravaging Mongols. Now the jihadists aim to do the ravaging, and it isn’t clear that the Obama Administration has a plan to depose them.

Little by little, groups will pledge allegiance to the Caliphate/Caliph. This is called making bay’ah. I wrote about this 5 years ago in God’s War on Terror. I also pointed out there that according to the Islamic shariah, failure to make the bay’ah pledge once the Caliphate is officially established is beheading. What will happen after various groups from Kenya to Nigeria, from Yemen to Afghanistan all pledge allegiance to the new Caliphate? I’m sure we will begin seeing videos of folks even in the US making the pledge.

Do they need to put on a headband or armband after making their pledge Joel? As in are there any signs already of the mark of the beast?
And also concerning the mark of the beast what do you make of the prayer bump many devout muslims grow on their forehead? Do you know of any islamic ritual that might perhaps cause a similar mark on ones right hand?
It’s a long shot perhaps but I was quite intrigued by the fact that by becoming a devout muslim who prays a lot, causes you to have a mark in your forehead. And the antichrist will of course make adherence to the rule to pray 5 times a day mandatory, which might cause “all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads”. What are your thoughts on that Joel?

You can really see how this will shape up as more and more will start pledging allegiance to the new Caliph and Islamic State.
As you mention, it will be Obligatory on ALL Muslims to give bay’ah to the Caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, so you can see this really growing, possibly starting with objections on if this caliphate is valid and then ending up with countries pledging allegiance and you will see states within states in countries with large populations of Muslims.
Any Muslim who does not pledge allegiance (bay’ah) once caliph is declared, will be fought….

Today, near Wheaton Illinois, I saw a pick-up truck with two large flags in back of it. One was the Stars and Stripes. The other was the black flag of ISIS.
Something tells me that the Caliph would like to have under his control, the nukes that Pakistan has.
I get the impression that folk in Pakistan are nervous, given their country is the stitching of part of the region of Punjab, part of Afghanistan, and part of Kashmir.
Joel, I was expecting that Turkey would establish the Caliphate from reading, God’s War On Terror, you co-wrote with Walid. Maybe I misunderstood. Since Turkey is where the seat of satan is located how does this work? Another question if you don’t mind. Is Turkey Ionia Greece of old? Are they the same country or two different countries? Soon this new Caliphate will grow and people will be amazed at how such bunch of rag heads could accomplish such endeavor! They will use gokf coins for their economy, gold from Iran since Iran now only accepts gold for oil, no longer American dollars. Soon to edict an anti-blasfemy law as part of Shariah law. I also believe they will attempt to move the black stone from Mecca into Iraq and eventually into Jerusalem. They will also use the largest American embassy in Iraq as their head quarters.
