I just listened to this you tube video and I was so amazed at your courage to take on the giants of the day. I will pray for you even more than I do right now. Joel, in making the case for the Gog of modern day Turkey, have you looked at Gen. 10:2&3 which shows that the sons of Japheth (Gomer, Magog, Tubal and Meshech) and his grandson Togarmah which are the names given in Ez. 38 & 39 are allso shown on a Gen. 10 map as being located in Turkey. Seeing as the Ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat, I think Ezekiel is going back to the beginning to make it easy for us to identify the land of Gog.

St John of Damascus of the 8th Century, whose authority is recognized by all Christian denominations, states that the Anti Christ 1) will be a Jew 2) will come to the Jews 3) will be accepted by the Jews.

Jesus Christ affirmed this when he warned the Jews: “I am come in my Father’s Name but you will not receive Me. Another will come in his own name and him you will receive.”John 5:43

The passage you quoted from Daniel is widely disputed and very commonly misunderstood. Many understand it to mean that he will reject the god of his immediate father or grandfather, etc. This is to misunderstand a common Biblical phrase (“Elohim ab”, used roughly 23 times in the OT). The meaning is always the same. The AC will reject the God of (the fathers) Abraham, Isaac and Yakov. The assumption that this means he must thus be Jewish fails to acknowledge the simple reality that is often sung in Sunday School class: “Father Abraham had many sons…”. The AC could just as easily be an Ishmaelite, etc. as a descendant of Yakov.
Many of the early Church Fathers believed the AC to be a Jew. But their views are also a bit contradictory on this point. Most also believed he would come from the region of the Roman Province of Syria or Asia Minor. Many also affirmed that the “Assyrian” spoken of in MIcah and Isaiah is a reference to the AC.
Of course, we study what the early believers taught, not because they have “authority” over us, rather simply to understand what those who lived closest to the Apostles believed.
Interestingly, John of Damascus also taught that Islam was a harbinger of the Antichrist system. See Against all Heresies.
But the point is that I disagree with the Damascene on this point, and any other early Father. All of the early Christian writers taught things which both you and I would disagree with.
As for the passage that you quoted where Jesus says to the Jews that they would receive another, this says nothing about the AC being a Jew, only that the Jews would receive false Messiah’s but not the real one. History has shown this again and again with men like Bar Kochba, or Rabbi Menachem Schneerson.
If you simply look at every type of Antichrist in Scripture, you will see that they are all pagan rulers of pagan kingdoms. Pharaoh, Nebuchadnezzar, the Assyrian, and of course, Antiochus IV Epiphanes.

Thank you Joel for your response. Have you done any research on the Rothchilds, The George Soros types and such? Our history is littered with them taking over our countries politics and the currencies of the world. Russia and Iceland got rid of the Central Banks. Why is it we go to war against the countries that don’t belong to the IMF. Remember the TOO BIG to FAIL banks?

The anti-christ is coming out of one of Alexander the Greats 4 kingdoms, specifically the Secluid sp? kingdome, that’s Turkey, which was in the western roman empire. If you read Rev 2 twice Jesus tells us where teh seat of satan is, and where satan dwelleth. All 7 churches in Rev. 2 are also in Turkey. Erdogan’s FM spoke in Feb about reviving the Ottoman empire. It’s turkey, not Rome who is the AC. Turkey controls the suez and bosrah canals, and Iran the Hormuz……when things get ugly, the west will fight against them, oil is the wine of fornication the whore has, and all have gotten drunk on it. Joel talks about it, Walid Shoebat does also. We are Turkey’s ally now, but not for long, they are turning into an Revived Ottoman empire, and will go after Jerusalem, then off to Rome, they wanted to get Rome in 1493, but their muslim leader died, so they quit. Rome to them is the western christian world……then they will go after the north and south america, if they get that far which I don’t think they will. India hates them, and they have the 3rd strongest navy in the world, and many other countries like italy, spain, UK have strong navys, and australia, Japan.
