Personal Update

Share:

Just a few personal notes to update friends and supporters as to what is new and what is coming:

Our latest adoption endeavor:
First, in December, I made a post concerning a baby that my family was about to adopt. Well, the baby was born on December 28th. After having the baby however, the birth mother changed her mind and decided to mother her child. Of course, we rejoiced with her in that she first chose to give her baby life, and then to mother her child. Our family however had some grieving to go through. The emotional process of adoption is very challenging and its quite difficult to understand unless you have personally walked through it. But we as a family are now back in the process, we are very excited, and we covet your prayers! I will keep you posted as things develop.

Fundraising:
While we have scraped and saved quite a bit for this next adoption, we have still not reached the full amount necessary. We are confident that the LORD will provide. We have now received approval for a matching grant. This is to say that for every dollar donated toward the adoption, that same amount will be matched up to $2,500. This will be entirely tax-deductable! If you are interested in giving a gift toward this next “Richardson” family endeavor, drop me an e-mail at [email protected]. Thank you so much!

Levi:
Meanwhile, our youngest son Levi is growing up fast. It won’t be long before our sessions of me dominating him on the floor with tickles and kisses will become him dominating me and saying things like, “Get up old man! Is that all you got?” But for now, in light of the fact that I cannot claim a lick of credit, I think its okay for me to flaunt the fact that he is one dang handsome little dude:

Prayer request for my wife:
On another very personal note, two years ago, I mentioned that my wife was having surgery to remove a few tumors. While that surgery was successful, there were some fairly serious and very painful issues that were unresolved, or that came as a result of the actual surgery. This past few months her condition has been very difficult and her pain has been quite severe at times. On a positive note however, we are finally beginning to get to the bottom of it all and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Please remember to pray for my precious, strong and amazing wife as she begins several months of therapy and procedures to get completely well!

The new book, Mideast Beast:
Meanwhile a limited number of early copies of my new book Mideast Beast: The Scriptural Case For an Islamic Antichrist will be available exclusively from me on this site in April. I am excited to finally get this work out. It has already received a wide-range of endorsements from such highly respected names as Walter C. Kaiser Jr., President Emeritus of Gordon–Conwell Theological Seminary, and one of today’s most highly respected scholars of the Old Testament, as well as Chuck Missler, a very well known expert on Biblical prophecy. One of the most enjoyable aspects of writing this book was the research that I poured into it. I love studying the history and context of the many prophecies of the Bible. What I think many students of prophecy will be shocked or at least quite surprised to discover, is the frequent discrepancy between what is often popularly believed by segments of the Bible prophecy community and the actual consensus among modern Bible scholars concerning the locations of prominent names and peoples in Bible prophecy. Names such as Magog or Rosh or Ethiopia spring to mind. I am confident that this book will be deeply engaging, challenging, and students of the Scriptures / true Bereans will particularly enjoy it!

To all of you who faithfully cover my family and I in prayer, thank you so much. May the LORD richly bless you!
