The purpose of this article is to catalogue a partial list of historians, Bible scholars, commentators, and teachers, both Jewish, Christian, and secular, whose interpretations of “Gog of Magog” of Ezekiel 38-39 conflict with the modern/popular view that Gog is a Russian leader and eschatological character distinct from the Antichrist.

Hey Joel,
This is an off topic post and question from someone else who has never heard you speak that I am inviting who will be hearing you speak in St. Louis, MO @ Southgate Church.
Do you have the titles and times of the topics upon which you will speaking about? Thanks!
Blessings!
Hey G4u. I wish I did. But slacker that I am, I do not. E-mail next week and I will give you the topics. You’ve probably heard it all before, but I do not have it nailed down yet. Bless you!
LOL! A guy who works well under pressure! LOL! You are not the first person to do this, of course. I have heard a lot of your stuff before, but it is different when I see you in person and see the open mouths of those who have not heard you and that is the best part!
So it is always worth my time to see and greet you back to St. Louis, home of Cardinal Nation! Go Cards!
Should I get you a Cards baseball cap to take back home for you? LOL
Blessings!
I’m good on the hat. Thanks though. : )
Joel – again some excellent sources concerning the who and when of Gog – I got convinced years ago from a number of these guys. Again, please keep it up.
Thanks Greg!
Joel,
Still trying to keep up with you. I just finished reading your pdf here, and it is quite a list! Thanks for the info. It just makes realize how many people take what is taught without judging the truth of the matter. I was a big T.L. reader, and even read his book about Revelation. For someone who was not into eschatology per se, it was a bit much, and just left more questions.
I happened to stumble across a video of you one day, and I have been referring many to your works for a coupl years now. My soldiers seem very intrigued at times when we speak about what is coming. I urge them to read your stuff if they really are interested, and judge for themselves. I wonder if Wichita, KS is ever going to be a stop for you. Btw, thank you for helping me see the importance of loving my enemies. Maybe one day we will meet.
God Speed,
Meat Hook
I’m a few hours away from Wichita. Just through the Flint Hills.
Cool! Hit me up if u ever head down this way.
Hey Joel!
Your gonna be in my proverbial backyard of St. Louis, MO this coming weekend! Woo-hoo! Welcome back ! It is been over five years since you have visited. See, I’m counting! But anyway, I have your start times of 10 am., 2 pm, and 7 pm on Saturday. But can you tell me how long each teaching session will be and the topics covered?
I’m having my patio fence painted and I need to have enough time to run back up and check on the work and pay my handyman and still not miss any teaching sessions. Can I pat my head and rub my tummy? Who says a girl can’t multi-task? 😉
I sold my condo within 18 hours when it went on the market and have a month to close. Yikes! But I swore I would not miss one day while you are here! LOL
Blessings!
So let me get this right.
Gog and Magog. Who is and/or is in league with the Anti-Christ, invade Israel and are destroyed when the Lord Jesus Christ returns with all the resurrected and translated saints.
Then Christ with the resurrected saints from before the rapture, along with the translated saints, plus the resurrected saints who had their heads cut off during the tribulation, all live together in the present city of Jerusalem for a thousand years. Then another group and personage also called God and Magog invade invade Israel in a very similar way and meet with the same fate.
Do I have this right ?
Gog is Antichrist. With his hordes, he attacks Israel. Ultimately when Christ returns, they are destroyed. Then all the righteous resurrected along with the survivors live in into the millennium under the rule of Christ. At the end of this time, Satan is released from the Abyss and stirs up one final rebellion which the Scriptures also refer to as “Gog and Magog.”
Thanks Joel,
I have some unique views about many scriptures. I think you probably have your hands full, so thanks for responding so quickly.
I’m sure your next book will be very successful.
BOOM!Nailed it. Thanks Joel.
