Egypt sentences 529 Muslim Brotherhood supporters to death

Share:

This is a fairly shocking story. Although I tend to agree that when radical Islamists form a high percentage of society, it requires a fairly iron-fisted government to safeguard the rights of minorities, this nevertheless sounds quite extreme. Read the full story at the Washington Post. It is of course, just another step in the developing civil war that is predicted by Isaiah the prophet:

“So I will incite Egyptians against Egyptians; and they will each fight against his brother and each against his neighbor, city against city and kingdom against kingdom.” (Isaiah 19:2)

I had such a wonderful visit with the Egyptian Church last year and still look back fondly on my time there. Although the Church is strong in Egypt, and although there is a great revival that is now beginning and which will greatly expand in the days ahead, before it is all over, there are very difficult days ahead for that nation. Please remember to take some time to pray for the strengthening of the Church there to continue to be a witness and a light in the midst of the growing difficulties and bloodshed.

  1. I Would Also Mention The Fighting In Syria Its Still Happening Despite a Misleading Report I Read On This Site. I Recently Read That Turkey Had Shot Down a Syrian Fighter Jet. It Seems That Turkey Favors The Rebels.
How Is It That Turkey And Iran Get Along, But Syria And Turkey Do Not?
Iran Supports Assad, But Turkey Doesn’t?
As For Concerning The Muslim Brotherhood-“Those Who Draw The Sword Shall Perish By The Sword”.

  2. Christopher,

The report to which you are referring did not say that fighting in Syria is over, rather that Assad has gained the upper hand and will not be removed by the rebels. The report is not misleading.

Yes, Turkey favors the rebels. They are Sunni as is the government in Turkey. Assad is a puppet of Iran. Turkey’s friendship with Iran is a friendship of convenience but is not genuine.

  3. I Did Not Mean To Refer To You Or This Site as Being Misleading, But Only The Author Of The Article, Joel.
“With Latest Victory, Assad Has Won The War In Syria”. That Is Misleading To My Understanding Of How The War In Syria Was Progressing. I Find It Very Hard To Find Trustworthy Media Sources.
While I Have Your Attention Joel, Have You Ever Heard Of The New World Order?
Many World Leaders Are Advocating For It.
Many Of Our Presidents Have As Well.
What Is Your Opinion Of It?

  4. I read this story earlier this morning. Although these 529 people have been sentenced to death, it’s pretty unlikely they will actually be put to death. Many of them aren’t even in the country and there is an appeals. However, the fact this is happening just furthers the wedge between Egyptians and advances the coming civil war.

  5. Christopher,

Again, one judges a report by the content of the article, not by jumping to conclusions based solely on the headline.

  6. I read this in the Telegraph online, indeed it is quite an amazing headline. I would actually be surprised if it was carried out, they say the grand mufti will over rule the sentence, time will tell.
If I be honest, like others with me, the thought that many of them will seek asylum in the UK where other pillars of the brotherhood already reside, definitely crossed my mind. Not a welcoming thought.

  7. Joel, I’ll forward this to Theodore Shoebat, so that he has something else to write about, because his entries about linking Japan & Turkey are the equivalent of beating a lame horse.

  8. Christopher,

When Bush, Kissinger etc., use the phrase “New World Order” they are not referring to a singular global government. They are simply speaking of a new world order. Personally, I think little of the claims that anyone of genuine important is seeking a One World Government. This isn’t to say that there are not powerful bankers, government leaders etc., seeking more power or various unions etc. But I see the claims that a vast network of Luciferian Illuminati trying to create a singular global government to enforce their Satanic agenda to be the stuff of paranoid Christian apocalyptic hype and myth. My opinion. I would highly encourage that you pick up a copy of the book Conspiracy Culture, by Michael Barkin. He is not a believer, but it is a great book that I think every Christian should read.

  9. Hi Joel, when it comes to the facebook page of Theodore Shoebat, there are a lot of recent postings about Japan.

That is what I was referring to, and I hope that this explanation clarifies things.

  10. Vernon,

I’m truly glad that you enjoyed the book. I take a gamble recommending it in these circles.

As for the alleged tapes, I cannot speak with any authority there. Are they real? Are they faked? Who knows? We’re dealing with Russia here.

  11. I also heard of this conversation of threatening to go to war with Russia. We have to remember that right now the Ukraine is broke! They are begging for money, which the IMF is going to grant despite they are not an EU member. Why grant the money? Huge interest on the loan and also to deter them from going back to nuclear weapons.
So the question is : “if you are going to go to war with Russia; you and what army?”

  12. Hi Joel,

I normally read any book that you recommend – Alan Kurscner, Mark Davidson, Michael Barkun…these books have opened my eyes to a world of understanding I would have yet to know; and since I am also one who is coming out of ‘conspiracy thinking’, Barkun’s book was a sharp punch in the gut! He knows how I think better than I do! It made me to consider a serious question: If a non-Christian writes a book, brilliantly exposing how a Christian thinks about the world and world events, without employing scripture, how could I truly have the mind of Christ about anything?

I sincerely repented before God and I am simply amazed and overjoyed at how the shackles fell from my mind almost immediately!

So you can bet that if you have recommended a book recently, I’ve ordered it and read it! I anxiously await Mark Davidson’s new book on Daniel.

As for the link I sent you, My initial thought was that it is fake. A friend of mine posted it on Facebook…just wanted your take on it considering all the ‘hoopla’ about Russia in end time prophecy.

    Thanks Joel!

    Vernon

  13. Joel,
what are your thoughts on the Trinity teaching? Do you see Jesus as God and co-equal with the spirit?
    Thank you for sharing.

  14. That’s good to hear Joel! I wanted to recommend to you a video series on YouTube called “The fuel project”. You will have to start with the first video in the series and progress. Each video is usually ten minutes or less. I think it would provide valuable insight with Islams role into endtime prophecy. You are on the right track and this may help fill in a few pieces you are trying to put together for a perfect puzzle picture. HE has an Irish accent. Please share your input regarding the short video series.

  15. Hi All:

Something I’m watching. The current King of the South (al-Sisi) is growing more and more concerned about one of his satellites. I won’t make a specific prediction, but I would anticipate that, in light of the southern alliance described in Daniel 11, we should expect to see the Egyptian regime become more and more engaged in Libya. If the Free Egyptian Army begins conducting terrorist attacks and cross-border raids into Egypt, that could include military intervention. Again, just something to keep an eye on…
