Well, surprise, surprise. It has now become quite clear that the two brothers who committed the terrorist attack in Boston this past week were not merely radical Muslims, but Mahdists as well. This is to say that at least part of their worldview was formed by Islamic eschatological expectation concerning the Mahdi. In a video posted on the now deceased Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s YouTube account, we are taught about “The promised emergence of the black flags from the promised land of Khorasan”. The black flags, as I discuss in my book, Islamic Antichrist, are a reference to Muslim armies that are prophesied to come from the region of North-east Iran / Afghanistan / Pakistan under the leadership of the Mahdi. According to the video, these armies are now forming and will soon march to Jerusalem to establish the seat of global Islamic leadership from the Temple Mount. Despite the desperate efforts of the mainstream / left-wing media to downplay the foundational nature of Islam in the Tsarnaez brother’s worldview and murderous acts, what has happened once again on American soil is clear. The Islamists have hit us again. Meanwhile, large portions of the Church are all too determined to believe in conspiratorial syncretistic / improvisational apocalyptic theories, yet the reality of what is coming is right in front of us. Turn on the TV. Radical Islam is not going away. Denying reality or hiding our heads in the sand will not delay the inevitable.

Ya know, what is really disturbing here to me is not only were some of the victims of the attack kids. It appears that the Terrorists themselves were kids… Islam is truly evil…
How many day later and it has been very difficult to find even a mention of “Islam” in the main stream media. It is starting to get out now here in Australia, albeit quietly, despite a media blackout on any link or reference to this religion in reference to Boston.

Lol- just as I went to post it, I accidentally closed the link, and had to find it again. It took a while because no major posts seem to want to mention “devout Muslim” in their headline.
I read an article on CNN earlier today before the second brother was captured. It’s purpose was to give a description and history of the brothers. In the entire article that was easily 10 paragraphs or more, the words “Muslim” and “Islam” were not used one single time. The closest it came was when it VERY briefly mentioned that somehow the brothers had become “radicalized”. They have since removed or changed the article, but the continued sympathetic tone towards these terrorists in the bulk of their articles makes me sick.
Indeed, Joel! It does not take much research ability to look up the background of the older bombing brother, Tamarlen Tsarnaev on YouTube’s web site. I did it in a matter of minutes and just looking at the listing is chilling and disturbing. He indeed is a Mahdist and the cable news channel clearly does not understand Islamic eschatology as they called it, “mythology.” When Islamism continues to grow and threaten the West, as it surely will, we will not know what has taken place because we do not want to believe the dark power of evil that is going to take place more frequently on U.S. soil. It is so disheartening to me as a a prophecy student for if I can’t even get my pastor or bible teacher-elder to take me seriously, can I expect any more of our democratic government?
Good post Joel. I learned something. “The Black Flags are coming” was something that I had not heard before. It’s amazing how the idea mirrows Ez. 38 & 39. Avi Lipkin says there are thousands of Muslims attending our colleges and universaties on student visas. After researching the internet to try and find an estimated number, I was surprised to learn there are no records kept on the subject based in the interest of protecting relegious freedom. I believe Wallid Shoebat warns that this is an area of potential danger to America’s safety. Is the Boston Bombing just the beginning of what lies ahead?

I was wondering if you thought it would be obvious when the 7yr peace treaty is made and were in the 7yr tribulation? Or do you think just the true believers will notice kinda like how we’re the only ones taking Islam seriously right now? This is probably a weird way of thinking but I wanna know how easy it will be to know when I have 3.5 yrs left of peace.

Joel, do you expect Israel to launch a preemptive strike on Iran? It would seem to me that a preemptive strike on Iran would be difficult to fit into the prophetic timeline (assuming we are close to seeing a 10 Nation Confederation Rev. 13, 17.) It would seem more likely that Iran would merge power with Turkey. Thoughts? Thank you

The music is not Jewish/Hebrew its an Arabic Islamic nasheed, its actually a Jihadist nasheed. Nasheed is Islamic/Arabic singing on religious things it sounds Hebrew because Arabic is cousins with Hebrew so its not a surprise. However, Joel this is not a surprise all Sunni or Shia Muslims have to Mahdist, they must believe in that Messianic figure since its apart of Islamic eschatology.
