Relations between Israel and its longtime ally Turkey continue to reach new lows, no thanks to Turkey’s Islamist regime and the very calculated words and actions of their supreme leader, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. In recent weeks, Turkey suspended all military ties with Israel, sent top Israeli diplomats packing, pledged support for Palestinian statehood and even vowed to utilize the Turkish navy to escort the next round of Gaza-bound so-called “aid ships.”
