1. Hi Joel,

   What this man does is bold. But he can be assured that he is protected by religious freedom and the freedom of speech that America is known for world wide. I’m sure you would agree if any christian would try this in any capitol in the Middle East, arrest and jail time would be the littlest thing to worry about. In some countries instant lynching or a state ordered death sentence is almost a certainty. To preach the gospel there would require a smarter approach then this man is taking.

2. Yes, of course. I’m not inferring that we should stand in front of some foreign government offices and scream the name of Jesus, etc. My simple point is that this man has travelled around the world to do what he is doing, all for a big lie. But when we consider the fact that today the Muslim world is experiencing the greatest revivals, yet we are sending the least number of missionaries, resources etc., then certainly there is a problem with our priorities in the Western Church. We are quick to send soldiers, but slow to send missionaries, or even support those missionaries and organizations who are going.

3. Hi Joel,

   The western Church only cares about themselves and are not concerned about anyone else. They do not understand the gospel themselves, what good would it do to send those missionary’s with the current western church message? More damage would be done than gain gotten. So why would The Master send these people? He would not want his baby sheep harmed.

   The Word tells us we have the Holy Spirit, it is the same for our new brothers & sisters everywhere on the planet. Holy Spirit will teach them & guide them.

   Your job as a called Teacher to the Body of Christ is to reach the Church leaders with the truth so they can properly train all the members of the Church. And then The Master can send some missionary’s who know the TRUTH.

4. Very true Joel. I’m curious and perhaps you know people who actually do preach the gospel in countries like Pakistan or even Saudi Arabia, how would christians in countries like that go about preaching the gospel? Would they mostly testify to neighbors and friends? Perhaps start a home church? I can hardly believe they would hold campaigns or do street evangelism?

6. How do missionaries handle taking kids along?

   My wife and I have been trying to join some kind of christiany organisation for 3 years, resulting in brief recces from cameroon to thailand – only to be turned down by the lack of qualifications, or having a baby, or basically not being what they need. Christian organisations seem to be run as businesses, which i can understand. But it keeps you out of the loop if you’re not qualified enough, or qualified in the right thing,or have children, etc.
   (fortunately we received a word in our church to not quit my current job, that it was a training period….which might be why we’ve had closed doors this whole time)

   But for future reference, how do missionaries in general cope with bringing children? Do they have to join a missionary organisation, or go it alone like Jackie Pullinger?

7. Joel, this is only partially on topic, but when you have this communicated in the Times of Israel, you can be sure that there will be folks who are more than a little perturbed at their conclusions being countered.

   So, is it any wonder why it is hard to find the US in the events leading to the Second Coming of Yeshua HaMeshiach, that are recorded in the Bible?

8. Joel,
   That is true, but i believe national missionaries can be the most effective. They know the language and culture. We help support a couple of national missionaries through Gospel for Asia. I don’t feel led to go, but want to help spread the gospel. You might think this ia a cop-out, but if the leading is not there, I think it is better to help with our pocket book if we are able. I think the whole Western model is messed up. Support nationals, and keep American missionaries here to try and reach the harvest here. Peace in the Lord! 🙂

   I know many missionaries raising kids in Muslim nations. Perhaps not on the heart of major danger, but many Muslims nations are quite safe, for the most part. If you are independent, then it is most often through networking with other independent missionaries. If through a denomination, then they will guide etc. Most that I know are independent.

    Both models can work. Gospel for Asia is great. No doubt about it. But foreign missionaries can also do a lot of good, as I know many that are doing great works. The Lord can use both models.

    Yeah, I agree but was just thinking most about the most “bang for the buck”. A Western missionary has to raise money to get there, and they are use to a high standard of living, and will most likly want to return to the USA someday. Add a wife and kids to that and you can see what I mean. A national missionary is from there, will stay there and live out their life there. It only costs about $120-200 a month to fully support a national missionary in India. And many of these have never even heard the gospel, are very poor, which leads to ears to hear IMO. Most nationals are on fire to reach their people, but need funding and training. I believe the training is where a western missionary really shines. But many missionaries from this country who think they are called to a foreign field are really not, and end up returning.It is just too much of a shock. I just believe these people would be better placed in a poor area of the USA and trying to reach our people, more like a church plant model, that’s all I am saying. Thank you for your work Joel!

15. Why go to a foreign nation, when we can go to the White House? My first thought was, “Why is no one approaching this man and tell him that Jesus assured him a spot in heaven, if he is will to receive?”

18. Christians should have engaged with him, asked him what his message was, and why he was there. Then share their faith with him (don’t be shy, they won’t bite …usually)
