1. Really good episode Joel.

   I’m reminded of ch2v28. The vision was to show the events of the last day’s to king Neb, yet the lesson began from his day through to the last day.

   Without having to remember what a pronoun is (smiley face.) The three kings don’t work for me. A straight forward reading naturally presents us with two kings.

   Its as you say, scriptures don’t actually say ac will be a Muslim, but given all the pointers, it’s the most logical conclusion.

   Looking forward to the next episode.

2. I think you may have over looked something by mistake. In 2 Thessalonians 2:4 which you referred to it also says “he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.”

   The antichrist does claim to be god and mocks the true god. Both are possible. he could simply mock the true God saying “that’s false, dumb etc” while at the same time saying “i’m the real deal”

   It is a both/ and situation. The antichrist both claims to be god AND magnifies himself above other gods uttering horrid blasphemies.

3. about the argument: no muslim would follow a man who claims to be god….

   He could get them all to follow him and be blaspheming the true God for a long time and then only make the blasphemous statement claiming himself to be god when entering jerusalem and standing in the temple, after they are already all followin him.

   Or, satan can dupe people into a changed view. The muslim view is not unfhangeable. Look ar mormons and jehovahs witnesses for example. Duped and changed over “special revelation”

4. You see Joel, what I said before about poor English translations of the 2 Thessalonians verse and how much confusion this causes…and this is the prime example by Esther of what we discussed earlier in a thread recently. *sigh*

5. Joel thank you so much for this episode! You mentioned both Christ White and the book he wrote attempting to contradict the Islamic Antichrist theory. I was curious if it was possible for you to set up a debate with him? Christ White is one who has studied your position thoroughly (more so than Dr. Ice)and thus would be a knowledgeable brother to debate in such matters. I know personally I have friends who are skeptical of this view, so I think by you systematically demonstrating by the scriptures how the Islamic Antichrist theory is airtight and how the opposing arguments fall to the ground, my friends (and many others) will be convinced, though of course, by the grace of God. Would you please consider debating Chris White? Again, thank you so much for your work in the Lord and your encouragement to fellow followers of Christ!

6. Thanks for this episode. Interesting to say the least.

   I guess Daniel holds such great appeal because it has so many prophecies already fulfilled historically.

   I am though, a little puzzled by objections from various people , to the idea that the Man of Sin would be unable to hoodwink various ethnic groups.
   Such as “The Muslims would never accept that.” or “the Jews would never accept this. ”

   Revelation makes it very clear he will dupe all of humanity,those who haven’t had their names written in the Lambs book of life from the foundation of the world.

   To me, the ” Manageable anti-Christ” notion falls just short of a pre-tribulation rapture in wishful thinking.

   I personally have no problem with the idea of an Islamic anti-Christ since the whole religion seems to be founded on the very idea of denying the existence of the Son of God.

   Yet it’s tempting to see our present enemies as the incarnation of all evil. This is what has driven most of the Protestant idea for the European origin of the anti-Christ for 500 years.

   I know from experience that the less focus one projects on the supernatural manifestations in the gospel, the less persecution one must endure.

   I urge you to do a couple of shows reconciling the descriptions we have in Daniel with those in the Book of Revelation.

   I would find that very interesting indeed.

   One real question I have: In Daniel, who is this ” Prince of the Covenant” that is swept away along with a large force ? Daniel 11:22

   Normally, one person challenges another to a debate. Its not normal for someone to challenge someone to debate on someone else’s behalf. I doubt White would be willing to debate me. If he were open however, I would debate him online via Skype anytime. I’m sure Larry Spargimino of Southwest Radio Ministries would be happy to moderate again as he did with Doug Woodward and myself.

   Does Jeremiah 51:1-59 refer to events during the end times? If so, are we able to have some idea what nation or nations are going to be destroyed as described in those passages?

10. Even without going into the Greek, it’s quite reasonable to assume the ac won’t actually claim to be either the God of Israel, as Joel points out he defames their God, or Allah, as Muslims themselves would consider that blasphemous, so Satan wouldn’t make that mistake.

    I think it will be a North Korean style set up, where the supreme leader is held in esteem as ‘a’ god,(or like a god) and the people display their little red badge as a proof of their allegiance. That’s just my thoughts.

11. Great video as always. Timely as I’ve been reading GH Lang’s “Histories and Prophecies of Daniel” on your recommendation from an earlier video. You mention Daniel 7 is largely a reiteration of Daniel 2. Lang writes that he feels Daniel 7 all occurs in the end times and that the 1st 3 beasts actually are allowed to persist for a time (although their dominion is taken away) after the 4th beast is destroyed. He rejects the view that the 1st three beast correspond to Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece. I’m curious what your view is on this- Thanks!

12. Hi Joel! Many blessings to you and your ministry! I think I have heard you teach before that the divide-in-four-fractions in vers 4 does *not* refer to the division after Alexander the Great, since his empire was not really divided into four, but many more, fractions. Have you now changed your mind on this issue?

    Also, I remember, if I am correct, that you based part of your teaching on what is next in the Middle East (an Iranian invasion of IS territory) on such an interpretation. If that was the case, what do you think of an Iranian invasion of IS now, and its biblical foundation?

14. I disagree with Lang on this. The extension of life is simply contrasting the nature of the destruction of the first three to the fourth which will be destroyed completely and suddenly when Christ returns.

    I have been fairly clear that because Alexander’s Empire was not clearly divided into four that this may very well be speaking of an entirely future prophecy. However, it is not clear. This is why I have always maintained that we must humbly watch and pray.

    I’ll admit I am a little confused about the blasphemies of the ac. Were you saying that he would not claim to be Yahweh but simply blaspheme Yahweh? You seem to have a working theory in end times eyewitness that he could come claiming to be the madhi. If that happened, it would not be hard to see that dovetail into a god-claim albeit not a claim to be Yahweh. I’m just throwung something out there but please can you confirm that you are saying the blasphemy does not include the claim to be God because that’s what i thought i was hearing.

    I am simply highlighting what the Scriptures state. The Scriptures say he shows no regard for Yahweh (Daniel 11:37). They say he will say “un-heard of” or “monstrous things against” Yahweh. He will speak out against Yahweh, the name of Yahweh, the temple, and those who dwell in heaven (Rev. 13:6). So this would seem to be a brazen contradiction to the notion the Antichrist claims to be Yahweh.

    Whether or not he will claim to be the Mahdi is entirely speculation. Is it possible? Sure. Is that in Scripture? No. Will Satan use the Muslim Mahdi prophecies to deceive Muslims? Quite possibly, but again, that is merely speculation.

    I hope I am not out of line asking this question. I’m in the middle of reading your awesome book, Mideast Beast, and I’m almost “all in” with your opinion that the Islamic Caliphate is the 7th beast kingdom. However, I’m needing a little guidance interpreting and applying this passage from Recelation 17:

    10They are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; but when he does come, he must remain for only a little while. 11The beast who once was, and now is not, is an eighth king. He belongs to the seven and is going to his destruction.

    In verse 10, it says, “but when HE does come, he must remain for only a LITTLE WHILE.”

    Question: does the “he” refer to the antichrist or to the 7th beast, The Islamic Caliphate? My concern is- if it’s the Islamic Caliphate, they were ruling for about 1300 years until 1924. That does not seem like a “little while.” However, if it refers to the antichrist, which would be the 8th beast kingdom (out of the 10 horns), then yes, that would be a “little while” which I believe is about 42 months.

    Up until now, I have always assumed the “he” referenced back to the “other that has not yet come” which is the 7th beast, but if that is the case, it doesn’t make sense. Maybe I answered my own question here, but I guess I need confirmation.

    Anyhow, I can’t thank you enough for guiding me through God’s word, especially in regards to Bible prophecy, and for helping me see things much more clearly now. Looking forward to your answer here. Thanks.

20. The little while (Isaiah 23), short time (Rev. 12-13), or one hour (Rev. 17) all refer to the very brief period of the AC’s persecution. Such statements are always applied to his very short rule.

21. Great teaching! I can see how the Antichrist would have no problem uniting the world; it makes perfect sense if and when the Church is out of the way. I used to wonder what Dan 11:37 implies and I think that he could very well be of Jewish blood. I imagine there may be many Jewish people in the Middle East who’s ancestors were forced to convert to Islam throughout the centuries.

22. So, I guess this is why some prophecy buffs are now jumping on the Turkey bandwagon as being the place where the AC will come from. The King of the NORTH should come from a nation north of Jerusalem, right? If you look at the countries NORTH of Jerusalem, basically you have Syria, Turkey, and poor Russia. The latter was the number one bad boy throughout all those Cold War years, and even today, people want to put Putin in the anti- Christian camp and be the one to persecute Christians and Jews. I just don’t see that. So, I guess that leaves Syria and Turkey as my top two choices. Agree?

23. What books or resources would you recommend to further examine and educate on these pressing issues? Besides yours of course which I have already read.

29. Knowing a few things makes the king of the north easy to figure out.
    1. Babylon is the king of the south. The Chaldeans. Even modern DNA testing confirms that the Saudis are related to the Jews. (Abraham was called out from the Chaldeans.)
    2. Daniel 10-12 is one vision. Several times it tells us that it is about the end, Not historical! 10:14, 12:4. 9, etc.
    3. Jeremiah 50-52 only mentions Nebuchadnezzar in the modern Hebrew. He is nowhere to be found in the LXX.

    Jeremiah 52:27 Set up a banner in the land,
    Blow the trumpet among the nations!
    Prepare the nations against her,
    Call the kingdoms together against her:
    ***Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz.
    Appoint a general against her;***
    Cause the horses to come up like the bristling locusts.
    28 Prepare against her the nations,
    With the kings of the Medes,
    Its governors and all its rulers,
    All the land of his dominion.
    29 And the land will tremble and sorrow;
    For every purpose of the Lord shall be performed against Babylon,
    To make the land of Babylon a desolation without inhabitant.

    At least four of the ten toes are listed here by name. A couple of others are listed elsewhere in the prophets. None of them are in Europe. The Roman AC theory is pure fiction. The AC/king of the north is in the midst of many Islamic countries. I’m guessing the king of the north isn’t a Buddhist.

30. Joel, I am preparing my lesson for tonight and I just could not follow you in Daniel 11. I am so glad I found this video. As you say, we tend to read into the text what we already surmise. My problem was verse 40–“The king of the south will collide with him. I assumed the “him” was the antichrist. and the king of the north will storm against him (the antichrist. So it seems like there is a third king here,–the antichrist who is attacked by the king of the south and the north. But I finally saw how it should be read, “The king of the south will collide with him (the King of the north, not a third king) and the king of the north will storm against him (Who? The king of the south, not a third king).

    I wish you had shown this from the passage more explicitly, but I finally got it and I am thankful for your hermeneutics. I don’t agree with you on everything (Pre-wrath rapture) BUT you have managed to change my opinion on so many things that I am thrilled with your writing. In my opinion, your book “When a Jew Rules the World” should already be considered a classic and is so clearly a fantastic apologetic against the reformed view of supercessionism. 32. I do agree there’s a third king mentioned in Daniel 11. Vs 40 we see king of south and north goes to war against the antichrist. If there’s no third king, then we might as well erase the verse. I do agree that all of it pointing at the middle east, and nations surrounding Israel.

33. “At the end time the king of the South will collide with him (the King of the North, note the previous reference), and the king of the North will storm against him (King of the South) with chariots, with horsemen and with many ships; and he will enter countries, overflow them and pass through. (Daniel 11:40). No need to erase anything. Just read it in its proper historical and grammatical context.
