  1. Thanks for this video Joel. I remember just a couple of years prior to 9-11, I had been reading a couple of books on how the Irish were saved and the missionary dedication Patricius had in reaching the druids of Ireland. The druids in those times could be quite savage. In reading about the dedication Patricius to reach the people of Ireland, the mission work continued to developing a culture of Christianity on the island. It was a few days before March 17th in 2003, that I heard what the Bush administration was planning an Iraqi invasion and in thinking about how profusely missionaries saturated Ireland, I really did have a bad feeling it would indeed backfire because really their heritage of Syrian ME Christianity was not being re-established as it was in the fourth century. Revival of a heritage was not being sought by the adminstration. I remember thinking about what was truly needed on March 17th and contacted my Senator on-line about not supporting it on that Monday, March 17th, two days prior to the invasion. Sadly, my senator disregarded it. There is a heritage there as there in the ME as there is with the Persians(Iran) with Aphrahat and his influences. Revival is truly needed as there were prior Christian influences many centuries ago. Again I appreciate your post, Joel.

  2. Thanks for sharing Joel! It is a daily challenge to say “I will go wherever you lead me Jesus.” May we listen…and follow.

  3. I’m very glad to see that you made it there safely! You and your team are in my prayers. May God bless your efforts and grant all of you a safe return!

  4. Well things are tough in the West in a different way. Millions of people some who were once Christian are rejecting the Gospel because of the constant 24/7 indoctrination into the lie of evolution. The fact that God created the heavens and the earth in six literal days through Jesus by speaking it into existence has become a stumbling block to believing the Gospel because they think evolution has disproved Scripture. It’s so easy to be deceived and led astray into the wide path to destruction. So there is a strong spiritual battle going on in the West as well.

  5. We were justified to go into Afghanistan since that is where the taliban was and where Osama bin laden was hiding out, but many conservatives, like myself, never understand our reasoning for invading Iraq again. I still remember Colin Powell concocting fake evidence about mobile chemical weapons units in Iraq and claims that Saddam was still making chemical weapons for a justification to invade. But what did that have to do with 9/11? Absolutely nothing.

So like you I believe a different approach in Iraq would have been far wiser, but what is done is done. Now we need to rise up as Christians and go where He leads us. Thanks for the message Joel.

  6. Wasn’t Saddam Hussein paying $25,000.00 to the families of “suicide” bombers who targeted Israel.

  7. I believe that is accurate. I would certainly hope however that you would not use that as justification for the invasion. The results of the invasion being that we have essentially handed the nation over to Iran,m which most see as the greatest existential threat to Israel in the world. Not to mention the absolute chaos that has resulted.
