    Joel,

Thank you for posting that link. That article was the most informative I’ve read so far on ISIS and really connected a lot of dots for me.

I’m still learning about the various eschatological beliefs of both the Sunni and Shi’i sects of Islam so forgive me if this doesn’t make sense, but would I be way off in concluding that both sides will ultimately duke it out, believing that they are each fighting the armies of the al-Dajjal or “false mahdi,” as understood by their respective beliefs?

The part of this article that stuck out the most to me was this; “No one has yet proclaimed Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi the Mahdi—but if Islamic history is any guide, it’s just a matter of time. Once the caliphate is firmly established, then the likelihood of a Mahdiyah being proclaimed increases.”

    Wow.

Joel, have you read Dr. Furnish’s book, “Holiest Wars: Islamic Mahdis, their Jihads and Osama Bin Laden”? Do you recommend it? Do you know if he is a Christian?

Thanks again for your posts Joel! I always look forward to reading them!

    Brian

Yes, I’ve read his book. Its excellent. Though a Lutheran, he does not write from a religious perspective, but as a historian.

Hi Joel and Brian, I just would like to point out that indeed exactly that part of the article stuck out to me as well. What is happening in the Middle East now can lead up to several people claiming to be the Mahdi and claim to be (islamic) Jesus. Thus the warning of our Lord in Matthew 24 is beginning to come true about people claiming to be the messiah.

DHS advisor and Muslim Brotherhood friend Mohamed Elibiary suggests the caliphate was “inevitable” and presents the “moderate” alternative: an EU style alliance in the ME. He claims to be advising senior U.S. government officials. As the violence and chaos increases in the ME, I believe we can expect these voices to get louder.

Joel, I don’t know where to put this information. But you need to know this…I follow the Kelly File on FOXNEWS CHANNEL Facebook and she will be interviewing Glenn Beck tonight, Wednesday, June, 18. She wants to know what questions viewers have for Glenn about the restored Islamic Caliphate. I have already submitted my question of which I have many. I truly hope you will be tuning in like me!

    Blessings!

OK, so according to this article at WND the U.S. was training ISIS terrorists in Jordan in 2012: http://www.wnd.com/2014/06/officials-u-s-trained-isis-at-secret-base-in-jordan/#RCoDbOYUs5liwKqK.99

0bama is obviously enabling an Islamic caliphate. I don’t know how anyone cannot see that. I also know that Joel has described 0bama as having “massive Islamic sympathies.” (I suppose this goes back to his years in Indonesia) Under 0bama, the ME has gone up in flames. Yes, I believe the stage for the Anti-Christ is being set right before our eyes. And 0bama appears to be sitting back and enjoying the show. As one writer put it, 0bama did not have a “visceral reaction” to the 9/11 attack in Benghazi (http://www.americanthinker.com/2014/06/the_obama_doctrine.html). Instead, he went to bed while our Ambassador and four other American diplomats were killed, because he had a fundraiser in Las Vegas the next day.

Something is terribly wrong here, folks. 0bama is, I believe, the first President in the history of the U.S. who genuinely does not love his countrymen. I check his schedule frequently. He doesn’t appear to start his day until 10:00 most days; when he does get the Presidential Daily Brief, it isn’t usually before 10:00am. I know for a fact that George W. Bush received the PDB every day, no later than 7:00/7:30am.

The question is, WHY? I believe 0bama is a deceiver. So is he also a secret Muslim? We know that members of the Muslim Brotherhood are in the WH and are advising him. Imam Mohamed Magid, who is from Sudan and is the Executive Imam at the ADAMS (All Dulles Area Muslim Society) Center (which happens to be a five-minute walk from our house), described by the Huffington Post as “America’s Imam” is one of them. Is it really a stretch to speculate that 0bama is, in fact, a Muslim? I mean, how does this happen in America?

We have 2 1/2 years left to endure this man. He is acting like a dictator. It is almost more than I can bear to think about.

    Jeanne,
Try and not let your heart be troubled. God, through Bushes & Obama, and who ever is next is setting the stage for the consumation of all things. Israel is God’s chosen land and people, not America. I do feel your frustration too, but God is bringing about His Kingdom in His way, not how we would do it. Peace in the Lord! 🙂

Joel, I was thinking about Jeanne’s question, WHY? The Lord instructed me to read from the book of Habakkuk this morning. In the complaint from Habakkuk {The law has become paralyzed, and there is no justice in the courts. The wicked far outnumber the righteous,so that justice has become perverted}. I noticed in chapter 2:2-3 The Lord told Habakkuk to right down the message because it pertained to the end times. He says, If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. Then He proceeds with the message Habakkuk 2:1-20. Joel, I have no particular question just your thoughts.

I have a question for Joel: Does the antichrist come from Assyria or from Magog? Those are two different historical locations, right?

  • Joel

Both overlap very much so. For the most part, Magog, Seleucia, and Assyria are all the same references to the same regions, at different periods.
