We know that Daniel 8:4 took place in history, but is it possible that Daniel 8:4 (and forward) could be repeated in our day? I think it may very well be possible.
The Iranian regime’s new enemy, it seems, is Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi. Iran’s mullahs apparently fear Sisi’s secular stance against Islamist movements, and see him as an obstacle to Iran’s future influence in the Middle East. According to the Jordan-based media outlet Al-Bawaba, Iran is determined to put an end to Al-Sisi’s rule by training the Libya-based Islamist group known as the Free Egyptian Army [FEA]. The FEA is composed of both Egyptian jihadists who went to fight in Syria during the rule of Egypt’s former President, the Islamist Mohamed Morsi, as well as other Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood militants who fled from Egypt to Libya after Morsi was removed from power.

I recall that Israel came across intelligence about a Libyan plot to kill Sadat, and forwarded it to Egypt. Well, Egypt launched a raid and Gaddafi got the message.
So, what is there to prevent a repeat of this, and this time sew up the situation by Egypt, the Sudan and Libya united in one group?
You can be sure that KSA and its allies will welcome this, given the ties between KSA & Egypt.

Thank you also for pointing out to the readers that Daniel 8 most likely applies to modern nations and events. Dan. 8:17 and Dan. 8:19 clearly show that this vision applies to the time of the end. Until very recently all expositors believed it only applied to Medo-Persia and Greece. Now that the seal God placed on Daniel (Dan. 12:4)is beginning to be broken, we can view scriptures like Dan. 8:17 clearly.
