The Square

The Square: A powerful documentary about the Egyptian Revolution is beginning to be shown in select cities round the World. I highly encourage anyone who is able to catch it.

Better to have more to decide, than what is filtered by media so that they communicate what they think their audience wants.

Re: the 2nd video clip “The Square”. There is a promo near the end of this clip to subscribe to “LIP”. What caught my eye was, I assume, a LIP documentry on Uganda entitled, “Evangelicals attack Gays In Uganda, God Loves Uganda” This is the first time I’ve read a negative physical action carried out by Christians in this country. I’m curious to know if you subscribe to this site and/or recommend it as a reliable source.

Rob, of course not. The God Loves Uganda film is truly a joke. The film maker is a very dishonest gay man with a clear anti-evangelical agenda and very little scruples. Essentially he is trying to make it look like American Evangelicals are pushing their anti-gay agenda in Africa. The truth is that the Africans lead the way in this and are most often being encouraged by western missionaries to moderate. The film also uses some gay Ugandan who was killed as its martyr. What it does not say is that he was killed by a gay prostitute. Its a big scam really. The filmmaker should be ashamed of himself. He was raised by a pastor and is obviously is trying to assuage his guilt through lies. But no one will be able to hide behind lies when they stand before the Judge.
