Libyan assembly votes to follow Islamic law

Today a dark cloud has descended upon the nation of Libya. While I do not wish for this to become yet another opportunity to gripe about the president, it is certainly a fair criticism to pin this entirely on the catastrophic foreign policy decisions of the present Administration. Read the depressing details over at Reuters.

    Joel,

Once again darkness is advancing in the middle east. Obama, the great deceiver, while promoting democracy is really advancing Islam, see Egypt, Libya, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan…I pray that Yeshua opens the eyes of the Jews and Christians in the US. It’s time to organize and fight back.

    God Bless.

    Jonathan.

    Jonathan,

There are those of us who have been called to begin to awaken the sleeping church. The time is now brother, not to fight but to prepare. The church has a role to play in the terrible pre-trib events coming. (see link at right to 4 signposts). And in the tribulation itself. “Watch and pray”. Yeshua will give you your role.

Amen, my brother Jim! You have stated truthfully. The time is now to tell others within the Church body that we are the generation that “sees all these things.” (Matthew 24:33) We must speak to our elders and ask them to have an open heart and mind to know that and to have a plan ready for their congregations as they face what is to prophetically come upon the Church. Do it now, when there is still a short time to prepare before the second horseman of the Apocalypse begins to ride spiritually upon the earth, if in fact, it is not already riding. The urgency of time is upon those who watch and pray for the Lord’s return.

    Joel,
I can understand you don’t want to turn this into a political website, but we seem to be in a time when politics (orchestrated by man and/or God) becomes very much entwined with prophecy fulfillment. It looks as though Obama covertly cares little about Israel, Jews and Christians. He seems to care more for Muslims and a restored caliphate. Although he himself is not found in scripture, who knows how much he is personally a part of the prophetic stream?

    Rich,

This may or may not be. All world leaders are instruments of God, for good or bad. My point is that I desire to see Christ-like and biblically focused comments rather than the endless griping that one can find on any other news site.

    Rich,

If the US President has a role in helping fulfill prophecy (I believe he may) we as Christians cannot work to delay the coming of our King, no matter how terrible we view the process. ‘The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!”’

As I stated earlier, let us as Christians do what we can to awaken the Church, to protect the all of Abraham’s children and to glorify God as we walk together into the night. But dawn is coming brother! Celebrate it! The joy is set before us, let us endure whatever crosses we must bare. It is our calling.

    Jim,
I’m sure that my thinking that any world leader is more interested in a new caliphate than in what many others may believe (or hope) he is interested in will not change the inexorable forward march of God’s will. Many times I say, “Thank God for bible prophecy, literally”!

It seems that most individuals that have seen the light shown on prophecies as they relate to Islam can work most effectively by influencing other individuals.
I’m amazed at the proportion of churches that do not speak of the Islamic beast and the importance of Israel. Some churches reject the paradigm outright. Others seem to ignore or not espouse it because they don’t want to turn any anyway. They can do this by not delving into prophecy(i.e.- come one, come all, we’re not going to talk about anything controversial, only how we think you should act). Maybe it’s the little blue pill mentioned at the Four Sign Posts website! Curiously, I’ve actually looked for organizations that could recommend local churches for people that support Israel and the Islamic beast/antichrist paradigm and I didn’t find any.
